Hi!

Ryan and I are off of school until January 11, and are already spending some quality time with the tunes. We want to be careful not to stress, and only work on what we feel like working on...without forcing anything. This break is about R & R...MUCH needed, at least speaking for myself.

That said, We started "Bliss", which is a much needed break from the rest of the album. We have really been beating Karma to death. And, I have personally been doing tons of editing on Terminus. LOVE them tunes, but you can't eat meat 24/7, right?
"Bliss" is absolutely gorgeous so far. It is more like a segue-way between Furor and Karma, but still has merit. It will have alot of voice samples, wind, and beautiful impressionistic melodies harping around everywhere...think of it as a dream.

I added EVEN MORE explosions and hugeness at the end of Furor...there are like jets and thunder and shit flyin' around everywhere. Truly EPIC. It all sort of slowly fades away as a Project EKO style beat fades in....with all the atmosphere and such. Man, I am excited!!

Anyway, have a Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Thanx brutha. I have never used mediafire before...glad to see it works, and glad you like it so far.

It's a work in progress, purely for my own enjoyment. There are still some guitars to add, and samples/keys....vocals...

Definitely going to jam it though man. The riffs are killer, you should tab that shit ;)

This is one of your songs in that B tuning I'm guessing?

B flat open. I used my (6 string) BC Rich for this. It's a custom gunslinger with EMG 81s....all through the ADA, and Rocktron for cab sim. I doubled the rhythms on each side for hugeness. I think they could be louder, and maybe with a bit more mid. I'll keep posting updates as I add to it.

Also to everyone: Jeremy just left, and we tracked some vocals for Karma and Stimulus. The contrast with Victor's style versus Jeremy's in Karma is pretty sweet. Makes it less.. I dunno...80s metal LOL. I also had my buddy Brian do some screams on Furor. It sounds WICKED. I took the approach Devin used on Disruptr, with those huge growls/screams panned and wide. I layered tons of them, all in layers of high/mid/low.....it's a wicked method.

I hold your musical talent in contained awe, so you choose your tunings as you find them, but I have to take issue with the second part of this. Yes, of course you can. And if you can't, you should eat 3 times as much meat 8 hours a day.

I think you need to get your hands on a 7 string one day ;)

I have been re-working "Abstracta"...there are vocals on the chorus, done by me. This song is purely for fun, and bonus for anyone who enjoys it.

Thanx,

Dan

That is one hell of a tune you got there, and I'm truly digging the vocals.

(I don't like the drums as much, but don't let that discourage you.)

In the immortal words of Angry Video Game Nerd: SHIT THE FUCK. You have really furious intro there. Love the vocal harmonies and all harmonized prog stuff going on afterwards.

^ Haven't a clue what you are talking about, but thanx!! :D

SHIT THE FUCK

It's so weird...I am not near the accomplished singer that our other guys are, but people seem to like what I do right off the bat...where as with the others, I can't seem to please anyone LOL.

Oh well, I love it all....so fuck it.

I have high speed now, so I will be able to post more goodies at will. Ryan and I have had some sick ambient jams lately that I would like to share. Also, maybe a NEW Stimulus teaser with some of what Jeremy did. OFF THE HOOK YA'LL.

Yeah, he has an advantage over the Yahtzee - he's easier to follow :)

AVGN is a chap on youtube who owns probably every video game system in existence and likes to review games that, uh, "suck shit". He's pretty good at swearing - his dictionary may be a bit thin, but he makes it up with expressiveness. His review of christian Nintendo games is a modern classic.

Maybe you should consider a career of a singing guitarist? You could do all vocal stuff by yourself and issue an "I'll swap couple of barely used vocalists for a drummer" ad.

On a more serious note, you have a bit more mid-range voice - these are usually better digested by general public than high pitched Jon-Anderson-ish ones I guess. Some people just have an allegry to classic prog :)
