Ahoy! I'm Annabel (as my username would suggest..). Uh, I've been into Devin and SYL for over a year now, so I figured i'd join the forums there doesn't seem to be many other places to read about him :D

So... to keep the tradition alive, here it goes. I'm Ruud, a 23 year old strapping young lad from the Netherlands. And a bit of a nerd really (hey nerdy Devin :)).

I'm mostly into Devin's heavier stuff. But I also really love his older and experimental stuff like Ocean Machine (great intro), Terria, Ass Sordid Demos (1, not 2). Ki is an album I can really lose myself in, and maybe even shed a tear or two. I'm not really into Addicted though, mostly need to get used to Anneke's clinically clean voice.

By the way, are there any european gigs planned?

'Ello, I'm Arthur, Rthr but with more vowels. I'm British, an elderly 36 and shockingly, a musician/songwritery thing. Been dipping into Devin's SYL work for years but didn't properly catch the bug till I had a couple of, ahem, "health problems" a few months back and got hit by Ki like a bolt from the wassname. Tremendously healing album to say the least, sappy but that about sums it up - it lives up to its title. Um, so that's why I'm here, the healing power of music and all that fluff.

That and I'm incredibly fond of intense, complex, emotional music. :D

Howdy, I'm new here. :) I've finally decided to join in on the party.

I guess something relevant would be that I named my cats Ziltoid and Captain Spectacular. Mostly because Ziltoid had a strange fascination for coffee when he was a kitten, and Captain Specatcular was always his arch nemesis. And yes, the looks I got from the veterinarian when I first brought them in were priceless. "How do you spell that, Ma'am?"

Hey look, I get the first post in this thread this year! Win.
I've been on the boards for a few months now but I've never actually introduced myself. My name's Alex and I come from Perth, Australia. I like Devin Townsend's music (cue "no shit Sherlock") including SYL. My favourite Devin track at the moment is Bend it Like Bender!, whereas my favourite Strapping track is Skeksis (which I think is underrated).
