Its the biggest game in the world right now (as far as I know?)... there's plenty of people playing it on these forums... why not have a topic for it?

I'm a big fan of the online play. I've completed the campaign on medium difficulty, and have delved into some of the spec ops, but online is where my heart is... (lol)

I'm not bad, but far from being as good as the people that have been playing COD4 since its release.

Soooooo... might as well give the topic its first discussion point.

What is your favourite gun or class set up so far?

I've been using the ACR, with Sleight of Hand Pro, Stopping Power Pro and Commando Pro. Semtex. Stun grenades. Martyrdom (cus it frustrates me when I fail with Final Stand)
Killstreaks: Harrier Stike, AC130, Nuke (yet to use it).

Though I've just prestiged so I'm back to the basics at the moment.

Best match yet was a Headquarters I played earlier tonight, 69-22 with the AUG HBAR with FMJ on it. Got 2 harriers and 2 chopper gunners in the match, we ended up tying somehow.

Prestiged twice now. The ACR is my favorite assault rifle while the AUG is my favorite LMG (which I've been using almost exclusively as of late) The Model 1887 shotgun Akimbo is probably my overall favorite weapon in the game.

I've gotten 2 nukes so far, it's quite a rush to actually get the 25 kills you need for it. I could have had one the other day, but didnt have the nuke slotted =/

Awesome set up for a class if you want to have some real fun: UMP 45, any pistol with a Tactical Knife (if you have one, it's not easy to get them), Marathon Pro, Lightweight Pro, and Commando Pro. Sprint around the map with your pistol and just knife people. It makes people sooo mad at the end of a game if you manage over 40 kills with just the knife and very few weapon kills =D

Other than that I've finished the campaign once and am working on it in Veteran at my own pace. Finished most of the Spec Ops missions other than maybe 4. Need to stay away from this game for a change..lol

My highest killstreak is only 21 at the minute.

I'm not keen on the Akimbo 1887's. I hate not having the longer range... plus I'm not always brilliant with the quick reactions / one shot kill thing most of the time.

Also, surely they'll eventually be seen as extremely n00by? Just like everybody hates n00b tubers, a lot of people are already very annoyed with the Akimbo 1887's.

Also, plenty of people see the 1887's as noob-ish weapons. They kill in basically one hit, you can have an assault rifle along with them, and if you put them on a class with Marathon and Lightweight you have a serious moving tank lol.

They can hate it all they want, I love those weapons. But I definitely like my ACR more

Have you experienced the crazy private match glitch thing?

It happened to me last night, twice. Ended up in an 18 man free-for-all, both times on Rust (split into teams like Team Deathmatch, but you can kill your own team). All kills/XP etc. add like normal. It was insane, you'd spawn and get killed instantly, until you finally find a spot where you don't get instantly killed, take a step back, crouch, knife when your screen goes black (when somebody spawns IN you) and shoot whoever you see. (Holding fire almost continuously).

I got 107 kills and 50-something deaths. It was kinda fun, but it was a bit insane, and would be annoying if it doesn't get patched soon, which it probably will.

Did you ever end up in a Slow-Mo game on COD4 as well? Only happened to me once, but it was pretty funny lol.

The glitched private matches are actually really easy to do lol. We use them to boost our rank occasionally because we can set it to "join in progress off" But yes, I've played a never ending Domination game on Rust with 18 people and it is truly insane. One of my friends got over 300 kills I believe...

I've never had a slow mo game, but my friend invited me to a Ground War once and it somehow had infinite ammo. You never ran out, never had to reload. People were firing the rifle grenade launchers constantly. And if they got an AC-130, they could fire the main big gun without stopping. You'd see people somehow wit 70+ kills and only 3 or 4 deaths. I really dont know how they managed to get 11 kills without dying in those games.

I has an addiction to this yo. I've had the slow mo game once in MW2, it's awesome I'm currently leveling every weapon up to ACOG and seeing if there's an assault rifle that's nice with thermal, so far the best I've found is FAMAS. Picked up an ACR with ACOG, now I want that.

ACR is probably the best assault rifle in the game. The Famas is ok with the thermal scope, but it's best on sniper rifles.

I've never been in a slow mo game, but I've been in a "fast forward" game, where everything is about 5 times normal speed. Really nothing but a bother, Infinity Ward needs to fix this game before it shits itself and dies all together.

I've never played it, but I did buy it for my brother inlaw for Chrimbo and disguised it as a spongebag before wrapping.

Could anyone give me an out of 10, how fab it is? (I play safe shit like Monkey Island lmao)

In terms of fun, addicting gun play and not much else, 9/10

I'm sure these constant glitches will ease out after time... maybe? I only got ino COD after 4 had been out for a while, so I was never around for the grand release. Did that have a massive wave of glitches when it first came out?

My sister and her boyfriend play as well. My sister saw me playing COD4 and thought it looked fun, but played WaW instead (not sure why...) - she's pretty good now. Probably better than me actually. She got 51-3 in Demolition the other week. Surely she must be within like, the top 200 female online COD players in the world? (I dunno... but I certainly have never come across another female that can play like that).

World at War had even worse glitches. A lot of under-the-map glitches, and out of the map glitches.

I just got the ACR yesterday, it's such a silly easy weapon that it's boring. But I'm gonna stick with it until I get the ACOG. I prefer my TAR-21 with FMJ. Secks.
