Looks like my vote just pushed ZTO into the lead! While I do love them both, guess you just can't go past the original.

For example, what are you gonna choose--Murnau's Nosferatu or Herzog's?

ZTO hands down, greater depth and pathos. Addicted is good but is too belted out for mine.

Honestly, I find myself skipping this song everytime now. I just do not like the upbeat direction on Addicted. I've tried but Anneke killed it for me.

You know it's a good remake if the fans are constantly divided equally between them. Personally, ZTO gets the vote for me. While I appreciate Anneke's performance, it doesn't seem to have nearly the same amount of depth of the original - but I suppose that's the point.

Just makes me wonder if the new Physicist tracks are gonna be so warmly recieved, generally.

Or are they remade backing tracks for the live environment? I can't remember.

I highly enjoy both versions and now that I've listened to both for awhile now, I find that they complement each other well. The Ziltoid one almost has a smooth glassy feel to it, is very dark and moody, and the reserved attack of the vocals achieves the spaciousness greatly. The Addicted version is much more energetic and aware of its groove, but comes off just as dark and deep as the Ziltoid version, and Anneke's vocals are very sonic. Plus, I can't truly listen to N9 without Hyperdrive #1 leading into it, and I've found that Supercrush and Hyperdrive #2 make a good combo, as well.
