Hey all, I posted that first ambient jam we did on youtube for download on soundclick and myspace, since we are selling it tonight on a single disc with Motion. Hope you enjoy it....now you can make your own pictures in your mind and won't have to look at our ugly faces. :D

The music reminds me a lot of Devin fuse Pain of Salvation. I think it needs more of a unique flavour to make it anywhere in the scene.

I disagree. Dan has one of the most original sounds I've heard from a home producer in a while.

In production, it's sexy original.

I meant the overall sound and style of The Omega Experiment is more original than most bands I've heard over the internet. No Line 6 Big Bottom amp models. No layers of chugging(which I'm guilty of myself, but hey that's me), original song structures and intriguing melodies.

Mr.T got the point.

Production of Omega is shiny and fresh and it seems like Dan is close or he already found the sound he was dreaming.

All he got to do is find that damn vocalist... No, James Labrie, you can't sing in Omega Experiment, you already fucked up new Dream Theater production. Fuck off.

You guys are all too kind! Thank you so much. I really means alot to me, and I am sure you all probably know that I really value your opinions...sometimes maybe too much LOL.

I am not sure I understand the Labrie thing...is that because Victor kind of sounds like him on the Stimulus teaser? The only vocals I am keeping from that are the beginning ones...I fully intend on making that statement bold. But, for the rest of the song...the vocals will only be there when needed. Kind of like Frost* when they do a big long epic song. There are some sections that don't have any vox at all....I had reservations about that song being second on the album, but after listening to it in succession with Gift...it totally works. It's risky, and I like it. :D

So, I need some opinions. I have a yearning to post the instrumental version of Karma, because it has been forever since we posted new music, and well....I want ya'll to hear it!! It's wicked. I know I am taking a risk though. People will get an idea in their mind of what the vocals will sound like, and may be disappointed. We have already shown you over half the album instrumentally. Think we should take another risk? The vocals won't be finished on it for awhile probably....so....

I got nothing against Omega vocalist. I made a nasty joke about Labrie and that he can't sing in a band of that format which was propably unfunny for everyone here, maybe except for me.

I don't think Viktor sounds like Labrie. I think at some point Viktor is better than him... Sorry but Labrie bores me to death. Viktor is awesome in Motion and Karma and I don't think he wants to even sound like Labrie at all.

I would love to hear every new song from Omega. Is it gonna be instrumental, or is it song with vocals... I don't care. If you put it in mp3 format someday, it won't leave my Ipod, just like Motion.

Hmm...points taken. I guess I just want a reason to post it LOL. I love the reactions from ya'll. I think the solo part in Karma is definitely gonna make you smile. :D Lots of instrumentation behind it.

So, the show went off without a hitch! My buddy Tim taped it, so hopefully soon I will get a copy of it and it will be on our youtube site.

Yay for Tim !

After watching improv vids on Youtube I was even more infected with your music. Seeing you live will surely help understand that cosmic energy coming from Omega.

Stay Experimental.
