I'd have to say that Mechanical Spin Phenomena and Audio Injected Soul are definitely amazing albums, however once Micheal left the band and they brought in Bideau, I felt that, while the music was still doing it's magic, however, the vocals were unsatisfying. I hope Sons Of The System will sound superior and contain less of that higher tone of melodic singing that Bideau does.

Burton has never sounded bad with Fear Factory (IMO), the only time he sounded fucking awful was with Ascension of The Watchers, but that was because he recorded the album with the flu which effected his vocals harshly.

So in this case... Vocalist-wise, FF is superior. Musically, Mnemic brings a little more to the table.

But I love both bands with a passion so what-the-fuck-ever.

I know Mnemic have a few pretty good songs, but Fear Factory's "Demanufacture" level is impossible for many bands to this day.

Album like "Soul Of a New Machine" would crush 90% of today's metal bands... but that's just my humble opinion.

i agree with this.
