After seeing them the other day, Troy sounds decent. Brent shouldn't have tried clean singing on their new album, but his voice oddly enough seems to fit the music in my opinion...I still think he cant sing very well.

Karen Carpenter? Dave Grohl? Don Henley?

Dave Grohl sucks.

Haven't heard Karen Carpenter.

Don Henley? You got me there.

(although she is not playing drums in this clip)

Micky Dolenz of the Monkees is another one.
Bobby Gillespie
Grant Hart
Robert Wyatt
Denis Wilson

I'm sure there's another 60's one as well. Not the Dave Clark 5 because he didn't sing just had his drumkit at the front... will remember later.

Let me just say Dream Theater again. I'm starting to dislike them more and more with their elitist fans who do nothing but try to say they are one of the greatest bands ever, because I highly disagree with them.

I know I have, but still all rap sounds so egoistic and provocative to me.
My lovely house-buying mate likes Ice Cube and few finnish artists (Redrama, Jukka Poika), but I just
get headache everytime I hear stuff from them.
Ice Cube is on the attitude side and I can't help my eyes from rolling when I hear gunshots in the middle of the song.
And I have no idea what they are rapping about. Too much big twisted ways to say "I miss my brother who got into a shooting and got killed".
And the finnish ones are all about legalizing stuff and hippy crap (Jukka Poika) and being a rapper in Finland with no money (Redrama).

2. Sex Pistols

3. The Doors

4. Motörhead

5. There are too many! :D

not every hip hop artist is the same as ice cube. thats ignorant to imply all rappers have gunshots in their music and are 'gangsta'. a tribe called quest or de la soul are as far from that as possible for instance.

I have to say that I have heard a lot of rap music, and I didn't "imply all rappers have gunshots in their music and are 'gangsta'".
I was just talking about Ice Cube. I didn't use words you implied I used, maybe that's what you wanted to read, to get the chance to point the finger at me, the ignorant rap hater. That was just mean, dude
"Egoistic" and "provocative" I said, yes, simply forgetting one description; not interesting.

De La Soul sounds far too cheesy for me, and as I youtubed (a new term, perhaps? :D) their stuff, I recognized some of the songs.
So I have given them a go, as I did for A tribe called quest.

I don't know how else to say it, but I just can't listen to rap.
(it could be also the grudge I hold towards Guitar Hero, I failed Beastie Boys' song 4 times in a row. I just can't rap, lol!)
