Yes - 20
No - 0

Haha. I'm almost disgusted at myself for hoping somebody would say no and try to explain why so I could own them. I suppose my personality needs more refinement in the areas of respect and self-control.

This really is a cool board, though 8)

Apparently, we're a bunch of heathens.

im gonna be the dickhole here and say that evolution is somehwat true. i personally believe that at some point in time, we were genetically altered from our previous incarnation, to what we are now. the reason i say this is because there is still no solid evidence to show we directly descended from previous species such as homo erectus and when did this point of evolution take place? those ruins of some kind of city they found in Africa recently, point to them being built hundreds of thousands of years ago :)

i have no answers, but i think theres too many gaps to be able to answer all the questions out there

I don't get it, the question is 'how?', not 'if?' Even outside of a time based reality there's evolution.
A quote I found recently that I like, "You never step in the same river twice".

Humans created god (or whatever pusillanimous combination of existential fear salve) to fill in the gaps of what we don't know yet, or cannot understand.
The price of acute self-awareness is death-awareness. A lot of people slide down the slippery slopeses of Science Hill back into the moat of God Bothering Lake. :zzzz:

Evolution is probably one of, if not the most strongly supported theories in science. Like it or not, the evidence in favour is so overwhelming, that denying evolution at this point, is pretty much like denying gravity.

...advocates of science always put across the point that it is all thoery backed up with evidence. I've failed to see any evidence from the other side of the fence.

"Ooh-hoh!!! Nice piece of old wood!"
"What? You knew Adam when he was at school? What - like in the 70s?"
"He died for our sins but didn't have the courtesy to leave good looking evidence"
"That's no Mormon"

I could rant for hours. Science bless hijacked Wifi bandwidth, inappropriate WEP security and Ubuntu!!

What do you think of these then:

http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/homs/specimen.html
http://anthropology.si.edu/humanorigins/ha/a_tree.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_pr ... in_fossils
http://www.becominghuman.org/node/human ... rough-time

I'm not an expert in the subject and these might not be the most scientific websites out there (especially wikipedia) but don't blame me. I'm a lazy, lazy guy :D

Btw, could you clarify what exactly do you mean with "somewhat true".

God is meant to live in the sky, and thus defiles the notion of gravity, and he's not entirely up for the whole Evolution thing.

It all ties up quite nicely, eh?

He defiles it?

Filthy bastard.

Hey, it's god, he can do whatever he wants to gravity, whether gravity likes it or not.

Well he does! He sullies gravity on a nano-secondly basis. He can't shit or spit or whatever on anything else cos heaven is all white. So he does alllllllllll his nastiness to gravity. And why is that, Mole?

That's right, Mole.

Despite your beliefs on this situation, what say you on the fact that evolution readily appears in many other species?

I just find it interesting the diehard creationists (not you, obviously) will disavow even certain kinds of birds are different because they adapted to what they needed.
