All those days are full of shit for me. Today I've done a probability assignment, worked on some dynamics (Lagrangians and Hamiltonians--the simple stuff), analyzed some data for an electron diffraction experiment, and gone to work (I'm a TA for an intro. electromagnetism course). The undergraduate's life is filled with bullshit, and I've had the opposite experience to yours, I guess. I haven't really been swamped with expectations until this year. I'm changing my major from physics to mechanical engineering in the spring, though, so I'll get another easy semester or two. However, I'll also get to enjoy an extra year or so of school.
Congrats on a paper completed, anyway!
The first years they really keep you busy, the next few usually get harder but you get more time of your own. Time that can be well-spent developing your procrastination skills.

Getting ready to enjoy a day off of work. More than likely, by the time lunch time rolls around, I'll be going crazy; wishing that I was at work so that I could have something to do today.
Eavesdropping on two collegues. I get the idea that they're somehow involved, even though I know one of them is married with children. I always see them together though, whether it's taking a break, having lunch, leaving work, etc. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but it's suspicious...

I've had a boring life lately, lol. If my friends aren't working/in school, they're sick. So I've been relying on work to keep me occupied. It's not that great of a job, but I enjoy it quite a bit.
