The place to speak about Dev's current projects, and everything yet to come

So I was listening to DevLab followed by The Hummer while I was sleeping last night and I had some great dreams!

Devin was preforming some light show on a projector in a room with some fold-up chairs (most of which were empty). The images he was projecting, though, couldn't be made by hand. They were dark smears, crunched up black paper? Sometimes the images would show geometric shapes, all black and white, cutting across the top. While this was going on, Devin was hunched over the projector looking puzzled, yet still working hard. During the first break, I noticed I was the only one that stayed for the rest of the show. We were able to talk and share a cookie and drink before he started with round 2, which picked back up with the music playing and him focused at work.

I was reading about all these possible dimensions we could have, and wondering the possibilities that the reason I am so "connected" with Devin's work is because possibly in another dimension we also enjoy eachothers company. Endless possibilities.

Also, even if you do share each others company in another dimension, that dream is still a dream and a coincidence at best sorry bro.

*shrugs* Wasn't meant to be taken literally, and its not the first dream I've had where we hang out. There is nothing "gay" about hanging out in a dream lol.

I wish I could hang out with many more people in dreams, that would be sweet really. There is no shame in believing in something larger than this world =)

I have dreams involving major people I don't expect to meet all the time, but it's nothing special in the dream universe. It's just like "oh, hey Nathan Fillion from Firefly lives on my block and Michael J Fox is trying to kill us, that's cool" as if this is totally normal.

Indeed the same mindset I had while posting, just eh and cool =)

Michael Fox thought he was Marty McFly and me and Nathan were trying to escape to Mexico it was awesome.
This other time I dreampt that Devin was a drunk and lived with me and my mom. That was all, he'd just walk around drunk or hungover saying stuff and play guitar sometimes. This is the only Devin dream I've had.

Man, some people really have a chip on their shoulders. It's obvious these are just innocent musings. I've certainly had weird dreams before and often wonder about the very nature of dreams themselves too.

One of my favorite things to do is when I can't sleep I lay awake in bed and start to think philosophically, I come up with all these weird theories that make total sense at the time and then after I sleep I can't make sense of them nor can I reconnect to that feeling of understanding in my own head space. I've written letters from my laptop in this state before, and more often than not they're exceptionally positive and forward thinking in ways I don't quite comprehend after the moments I've written them. My theory about dream state is that it's the untapped power of the imagination we wield in our dreams somehow seeping over into our regular conscious mind, not unlike how we were able to reach it when we were children.

The imagination of children is a really fascinating concept that I'm not sure we're entirely sure how it works in any fashion other than on a psychological level... not unlike dreams.

Ever heard of the dream city? Dreams are very multi-layered, but there is a place where we can meet and interact, (constantly fluctuating). When I'm there I usually hang out at a trippy music store. One thing I hate in dreams, I go to buy some food, and there's no menu board or prices, and I get confused (forgetting I'm in a dream) and get angry at the premises, and dream police come and usher me away. Really gotta learn lucidity better, (checking your hands is a good technique, "are these hands in 'real' life?")

I dreamt that Devin called me on my cell phone and he was at a restaurant with one of my friend. We met up outside, walked and met another group of people with another Devin with them. The one with us was a decoy Devin and the other 'real' Devin says that he needed a decoy to fool the papparazis. Funny thing is that our decoy Devin looked really like Devin when he had all his hair and the real one looked nothing like him.
