I just listened to the track 'addicted' through some high quality headphones

Man im in awe, Its just incredible!

As a music production student i find it mind boggling how all those sounds and landscapes lock in perfectly and just create a huge ocean of sound.

I cant wait to hear the rest of it in the same way! Only 3 weeks to go!!

Those amazon samples are really disappointing. I'm hearing alot of those rhythm guitar patherns "tan-x-x-tan-x-x-tan-x-tan" (x - palm mute) repeating in most tracks. Even in the acoustic! Sounds kinda lazy to me...
So far i'm digging "Addicted", "Supercrush" and "Numbered".
I'll wait to hear the final thing, but i'm beginning to think that both Ki and Addicted would make stellar EPs, but just not good enough LPs.

Where are the reviews for Addicted? They sent out a 1000 copies and we only have 1 review so far. What are people doing with their copies? Are they hording them? Laaaaaaame.

End rant. :alien:

as I said, Devin was probably trollan' :P

But sites and people have the promos :P There were also track lengths on last.FM as early as Oct 3 that were proven to be true in the end.

I think that's very much either personal preference or actual vs expectation.

For me, If you drop any two or three tracks from Ki then it would leave a real gap. It's not like there are weak link tracks, just different styles on one album. Of course, if you prefer one of those types much over the other then I can understand how you might want just those on their own. That makes total sense.

Laziness, though? Nah, not even close.

It's just not getting enough love here so I'll say it...

...Jeebus fuck, Bend it Like Bender has drilled itself into my brain. Well, the snippets, anyway. Catchy as H1N1 and 100x more fun.

This album just gets better and better. Swear to jeebus, never bought a band hoodie in my life, but I plunked the $50 in seconds. Subconsciously
I thought it might get me the CD faster, I think.

Heeeeeeey BOY!

Holy shit, trojan bait much?

It's kind of disrespectful begging for a leak on here, there's less people grovelling for one on what.cd.

I am impressed it hasn't leaked yet, though.

I was so psyched when I found out that Devin had a Youtube channel, and after seeing "Codename: Gratuitous ball shots", I've been returning to said video, playing along with my bass to Dev tracking vocals, but now I need the real thing!! Supercrush is now the song I'm waiting the most for, but the other songs sound so massive, I don't know what to say. :o

I would imagine the repetitive guitar is partly due to the fact that he wanted to make a "pop" record. You are also just listening to seconds-long-very low quality clips

Perhaps Devin influenced Century Media into not sending 1000 promos? Dunno.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to my tshirt and disk

We must have really hammered those Amazon samples because the links are already dead (except to "Addicted" and "Universe," of course)

I have to say that, while I understand the logic, I'm very disappointed Devin isn't the headliner. And my old lady isn't going to like sitting through all those metal bands just to hear an abbreviated set.

I might sit this tour out and wait for the "smaller" tour that comes later, where Devin is the headliner.

You don't have to sit through a bunch of metal bands. You have to sit through one, and Scale The Summit isn't the worst choice for that.

And also sitting and waiting isn't going to do anything. If you want Dev to headline ANY tour, promote the fuck out of him.

For all the complaining about the music industry, some of you seem to have a vague idea of how it works at best.

We'll have to agree to disagree on Scale The Summit

And the next time I have a question about how the music industry works, I'll be sure to ask you.

For those of us with limited funds, it stings to pay full ticket price to hear a crappy band and a limited set list from the one act we actually want to hear. If Devin says his supporting set list will be comparable to his headlining set list, then I will gladly save up and pay my money. Otherwise, this one is going to be a tough sell when it comes time to pay the bills.
