Rehearsals are going great, I'll tell you what, the Ziltoid material is insane. After the DTP, I have a pretty solid feeling there will be a new chapter of Ziltoid...there's some very interesting things going on in his 'live' world...I'll keep you posted.

Addicted is on it's way, and after listening to it to the point of nausea, I can safely say ...It's great. Some folks won't like it, but then, the whole point of this 'project' is to give you 4 very different, yet complete unto themselves, musical experiences. There's been a couple of songs released, that are actually not super indicative of the whole record...but again, I really, really dig this record, especially when I follow the lyrics. It's a good sentiment.

I'm actually surprised it hasn't leaked yet, crazy! At this point though, it's got to be just around the corner, and when it does, check it out! If you like it, I'd really appreciate your support, if you don't...at least you know without having to spend money. Finances suck and everyone's struggling right now. There is no pressure to buy.

There's lots of shows and 2 more albums (plus a box set) scheduled for next year. I'm the type of character who can't start his 'meatloaf' until he finishes his 'salad', so I can't wait to finish Decon and the 4th album...that music has been around for years now and I don't want to start the new Ziltoid till it's done. Ziltoid was going to make an appearance on Decon, but he asked if he could do his own record when all this was finished, and we agreed that seeing the music sounds RIDICULOUS with the band playing it, we could probably take it to the moon for 'episode 2'

There's a few other things on the works, trying to get an acoustic, one man show together...getting ready for this first tour, which is us just getting on track, and an opportunity for me to get my feet wet with some good friends...(the other bands are full of good folks)...then hopefully Australia in March, and some cool things in Europe during the summer.

I had a weird week, so I decided to wait till I wasn't sulking to write here again...we all have problems, and the last thing you need is some guitar player complaining to you. Life is what we make it, so life is great.

Peace guys, be HAPPY (or at least, make that the goal!)

d

Is that a cryptic way of saying that we will see Ziltoid live on stage? He needs his time to shine.

I wish I could check out Addicted right now. But hey at least I'm suffering through this miserable head cold right now. Life isn't fair.

It's not fair that metal reviewers get the albums first. Metal reviewers have to be the most disgustingly greasy people I have ever laid my eyes upon. Their reviews are terrible too. I've never trusted a metal review in my entire life. Never. They always hate on the stuff I like and praise some boring bullshit. I can see them now acting like the comic book geeks that they are saying "Behold look at my ultra rare Addicted cd! I give it a 3 out of 10."

(Not that I'm a full on devoted christian, but I can easily say....)

Amen, to that brother.

"Pursue your Passion" - Robert Morningsky.

Wonder if we'll even see Zilly as the 'Thrice greatest.....' (( As Hermes has been labeled), or is that too heavy?)

(He might need to grow some feathered wings for that. lol)

Awesome update! Makes me happy to hear that the inspiration is flowing and the ideas are taking shape the best that they possibly can.

Another Ziltoid album...does this mean that the coffee shop dude is continuing to daydream about the nerdy puppet? Will Ziltoid accept the fact that he is a puppet? What has become of his flashy guitar skills, or Capt. Spectacular? So many questions, but considering the time between now and whenever Ziltoid 2 drops, 'tis smart not to dwell on such questions. So until then, bring on Addicted and Deconstruction (and #4)!

Yeh more Ziltoid!
I hadn't listened to the album for a while but listened to it again the other day and got right back into it.
I had forgotten how great the album is. Got me excited to hear Hyperdrive on Addicted too.
Lots more Dev coming, exciting times for all!

Ziltoid has been one of those albums that i can always come back to and it always sounds fresh and crazy with an awesome insight into devs head, i love storys and think they say something 'greater' in terms of just songs on an album, or atleast a 'story' gives off the illusion that its something bigger than what it actually is, bigger than the artist etc.... so new ziltiod is an awesome idea!! cant wait to hear it live (hopefully) in march!!! LOVE YOU DEV, YOU make me happy as well! (and many of us in here too) your updates are always friggan the BEST. lovin the positivity.

I'll amen to that

i wonder which ziltoid we shall experience in the flesh?

I can't think of a better time for an Aussie tour than March (other than... um... right now).

Summer will be drawing to a close, the swathe of festivities and public holidays will be over, and I won't miss the National Multicultural Festival in February (if you like food and have been, you'll know what I mean... it's magnificent). Sorry, back to the topic at hand... It's just perfect timing. Thanks Dev, will be at as many of the Aussie gigs as work and money will allow.

A new Ziltoid album sounds great, but I must say I'm very interested to hear what Zilly live sounds like. The descriptions sound like it's going to be epic. And I have a feeling that the crowd reaction to Ziltoid material is going to be vibrant, to say the least. Is Ryan touring with you? I'd absolutely love to see him play live, having heard him on a few records now. Regardless, whoever tackles Dev's manipulations of DKFH will be in for some work!
