If you go back a few pages, I totally called Devin touring with Between The Buried and Me. The guitar player played the riff from deadhead between songs when I saw them a few weeks back. I asked them after the show and they said they were doing a headlining tour in January.

Oh, I'm beyond stoked about seeing Devin. I just can't get into btbam despite many of my friends intentions, just like I can't get them into Devin. I just hate being told I don't get it, I get it and I get the appeal, I don't like it. There's a huge difference.

BTBAM could have the most beautiful music in the world but their vocals kill the music. Plus the metalcore...its still present in the vocals. To me it seems you have to really try to like this band if you don't like metalcore.

All of these people bitching about Between The Buried & Me obviously haven't heard Colors. Not only is it one of my favorite albums of all time, but probably one of the most beautiful. And people who call them metalcore are so completely wrong. Sure, they came from the metalcore scene, but they mix in so many other genres now that most of it outweighs the little metalcore that is left.

Between the Buried and Me may be a good band if you look deep enough and are into that sort of thing, but I think this thread has had enough about that topic already. From my brief listening, I do admit that it sounded unique enough at least.
