If you go back a few pages, I totally called Devin touring with Between The Buried and Me. The guitar player played the riff from deadhead between songs when I saw them a few weeks back. I asked them after the show and they said they were doing a headlining tour in January.

Nathan_LOL isn't a troll, he's just a 15 year old.

Hasn't he been 15 for a few years now?

A couple of times he's dropped down to 12.

good you and my friend Keenan can go be bros then.

I suppose the good thing about a btbam headline set (every cloud has a silver lining after all) is that I can leave.

Oh, I'm beyond stoked about seeing Devin. I just can't get into btbam despite many of my friends intentions, just like I can't get them into Devin. I just hate being told I don't get it, I get it and I get the appeal, I don't like it. There's a huge difference.

Apples and oranges, I'm afraid, and really there is no bill that'd be more specific than vaguely proggy for Devin to be on.

BTBAM could have the most beautiful music in the world but their vocals kill the music. Plus the metalcore...its still present in the vocals. To me it seems you have to really try to like this band if you don't like metalcore.

bro?

hardly a bro band at all lol

try Emmure

oh and Scott you'd like TGM more than their older material. acoustics, ambient, more clean vocals and such. and Tommy shuts up in the last 8 minutes of Swim to the Moon lol

All of these people bitching about Between The Buried & Me obviously haven't heard Colors. Not only is it one of my favorite albums of all time, but probably one of the most beautiful. And people who call them metalcore are so completely wrong. Sure, they came from the metalcore scene, but they mix in so many other genres now that most of it outweighs the little metalcore that is left.

I have heard colors. The songs in colors have vocals, all of which are bad. So bad, and so metalcore! Quite alot of parts have vocals in them too! It doesn't matter how many genres they stuff into their music.

I don't hear the "metalcore" in the vocals. I just hear screaming

Between the Buried and Me may be a good band if you look deep enough and are into that sort of thing, but I think this thread has had enough about that topic already. From my brief listening, I do admit that it sounded unique enough at least.

But anyone heard about this guy Devin Townsend? I heard he's going to have a new album out called Addicted!

Oh wait! This thread is actually supposed to be for Addicted discussion! Stupid me!
