How did you practice? any lessons or just learning from tabs?

Got any tips on what to learn/how to do so...

I basically just taught myself to read tabs and started learning songs. Never really got into practicing scales but I will from time to time.

I never took "lessons" but I did take 4 years of a guitar class in high school that just taught basic music theory only, no technique.
