What's BTBAM? Party music as well?

Speaking of Party music, Hellbilly Deluxe 2 (The Revenge??) is coming out same day as Addicted.

BTBAM is short for Between the Buried and Me. They're another progressive metal band. A VERY good band if you're into the genre.

It helps to like BTBAM if you like really bad vocals and hardcore too.

HEY! Can Dev or anyone else on this board that are fans of Anneke's old band "The Gathering" tell me what they or most gathering fans would consider their best album? I'd like to buy an album and check it out but im not sure which to start with...

Well, "Mandylion" and "Nighttime Birds" are their "Classic-Albums". Pretty straight and atmospheric Gotchic-Rock/Metal, but very beautiful und well done (I love these albums, though I´m a super-tough-guy ;-)).
But to a Dev-Fan, who you obviously are, I would recommend "How to measure a planet?" or "if then else". They are definitely less "Gothic" and more experimental.

Great band. I saw them live twice and they were awesome. To me as an old The Gathering Fan a world shattered, when Anneke left the band, though Agua de Annique is not bad.

IMO too a great album. Accesories: B sides and Rarities is also nice, as name succest it's collection of single B-sides and other rare stuff.

lol @ BTBAM and -core

hardly a core band anymore. just a few trace elements here and there. they're more like a heavier version of Dream Theater, but the vocals don't catch on right away.

If you like heavy stuff, check out Mandylion or Nighttime Birds. I personally think the albums after that were better though. Souvenirs is my favorite, but it's a bit more electronic than the others. How to Measure a Planet? is a bit more progressive while if_then_else is a bit more rock. All of their albums are different (aside from Mandylion and Nighttime Birds which sound the same to me) and I like them all quite a bit. Their newest one, The West Pole, is with the new singer Silje. It's good, but not as good as the ones with Anneke.

Anneke kicks ass on the scene.

Singing with Devin on one stage... that will be the coolest show, ever.
