I can taste the anguish from here.

Am I supposed to be anguished? Cheers for the welcome, anyhow.

Hey there,

I'm the literal embodiment and personification of a band called Aphemia from the U of K. I'm a self-confessed Devaholic. I just want you all to know it's an illness, there's no cure, only therapy. Therapy involves listening to all Dev's albums until you know why you're listening to them and sacrificing all other music just to get another fix of Ocean Machine.

Later, friends.

Hey Bruno, I'm wary of introducing myself on the Dev board and self promoting my own shizzle... but if you're at all interested, check out the old myspaceeroo. Electro-metal seemed like a decent enough term to coin a band that wasn't industrial as such but had a strong thread of electronic sound in both studio/live performances.

I can remember when we started out years ago, sounding like a budget-version english SYL.

Love it, sounds like God Lives Underwater mixed with a bit of Dream Theater. Every time I read about electro or industrial influenced metal I fear it will be something boring with some stale technoish loops and beats lodged in, but your stuff is excellent :)

Why thank you very much for the kind comment there Bruno, you've made a chap very happy! Have you found any other good electronic sounding metal in your travels?

^^ what he said, Sybreed's (Etna is very similiar since it's founded by Sybreed's drummer) pretty much a perfect specimen of electro/industrial influenced metal for me. Enter Shikari sounds cool with their rave-ish influences, but I guess I should feel guilty of liking them :>

I'd like to hear more of this stuff myself, but seems like there isn't many bands playing this stuff the way I want :(
