Mmmm..I hope someone could help my musical hunger.
That's the story: Iwas strongly into metal and rock but in the last year I had to admit this music it's starting to bore me. :-)
I'm searching for something new, melodic and majestic but not too abastract or cold.
Emotional music, like Devin (but I'm not searching a Devy-clone, this' an example to make clear what is the line that I like).
Any suggestions?

Thanks Geoff but...I know Anathema and I find 'em too progressive.
Like Opeth: i cannot dig those guys.
They're great players, the songs are well structured and arranged but I find 'em a little boring. :?

I'll try Raunchy, what kind of music do they play?

And...What about Creed?
I've heard only a couple of songs but they seem interesting (this question could sound strange to americans, but in Europe that band is not so famous and the song are not in heavy rotation!).

Dunno if you've already heard of them, most of times I recommend something people already have :p... but I enjoy 'green carnation' very much lately.

If you want emotional music then listen to Tom Waits - Alice or any Nick Cave album.
Björk is also great :)

Eh eh!
I'm one of the persons who don't dig Bjork music!
Nick Cave?
Great artist but too depressive imho...
I need music that suggest opne spaces and landscapes...

Then check out Nine Inch Nails - Still. It's found on the limited edition of their live album, And All That Could Have Been. It's a bonus album...most beautiful music I've ever heard.

You're a good man!!!! Destroy Erase Improve and Chaosphere are two of the most fuckin wondrous metal albums of all time, and Prometheus is easily Emperor's shining moment.
