I actually marked the preorder date on my google calendar (i've been doing that with everything now, or i forget all important stuff)

and i'm actually starting to memorize the teaser as one big weird song since i've been listening to it for the past 30 minutes

Devin makes all this killer music for us, worked his ass of until he gets shingles, and then makes a teaser for us after we all beg. AND so far we only have half of it.
Thanks, man.

We're all saying CM should promote the fuck out of this, but why stop there. We all should print fliers for the album, call local radio stations and request songs, and do whatever else we can on an individual level to promote it, all of which would help the record and would be easy and free to all involved. Kinda like a street team I guess.
All we need is a killer flyer...Not to hard considering this album has killer artwork

Part of the reason I like your music so much is because I'm all about the huge tidal wave of sound you create (think Deadhead  ), and this album looks like it will bring it in spades! I really can't wait, and I'll be preordering as soon as it's available. Keep it up Dev, you're an inspiration to us all.

PS: The vocalist singing Hyperdrive sounds divine. Holy shit.

Flat tire this morning, hour and a half walk for shit to repair my tire, surprise overtime at work, caught the bad traffic on the way home and capped it off with the Addicted teaser track. Good day in my books. Thanks Dev!

Sounds lush and huge and up and everything I was hoping for. And Anneke sounds beautiful, especially on Hyperdrive.

There's my fanboy-ish gushing done for the day. 8)

I'll be pre-ordering, no question.

i had the shittiest day yesterday. bad shit going on at work, after 9 hours of chaos, i run home to take my gf to the emergency ward at hospital. after getting home around midnight, i sit down to the pc and came across the addicted teaser!

Finally listened to the Addicted teaser, I'm lovin it.
But the old version of Hyperdrive is better, in my opinion. The older one was more meditative and calm, while heavy at the same time.

Each of the clips from the teaser sound amazing. Can't wait to get the album.

Incredible to think that even after this one is released there's still 2 more on the way.

Then the tour next year. Gonna be incredible.

So much to look forward to right now. Good times ahead...

Cheers Dev.

Been checking on Twitter to see what people have been saying about the teaser so far, and I happened to see Ryan plugging for it... didn't even know he was on twitter! (seems legit)-

I really love the devotion and love that all you guys show Devin. I say this, coming from a person who has dealt with... "indie kids" longer than anyone needs to.

Im serious when I say that if a band or artist became too popular, they would shamelessly discard them from their lives and find a more esoteric band. To see all of you guys so eager to go out there and put up flyers and call stations warms my heart, and hopefully Dev's heart even more. I'm with you guys all the way. Lets make Addicted the album of 2009. :guitar:

PS: I never thought Anneke on Hyperdrive could be as good as the original, but that teaser is starting to make me think otherwise... I DON'T WANT TO ADMIT IT THOUGH!

Excited about Addicted. Love the teaser although I personally don't see the point in redoing Hyperdrive. Anneke is wonderful though. The cover is a bit too simple for my taste.

Reminds me of a classic psychological study when people compare lines.

Image

In 1951 social psychologist Solomon Asch devised this experiment to examine the extent to which pressure from other people could affect one's perceptions. In total, about one third of the subjects who were placed in this situation went along with the clearly erroneous majority.

Asch was disturbed by these results: "The tendency to conformity in our society is so strong that reasonably intelligent and well-meaning young people are willing to call white black. This is a matter of concern. It raises questions about our ways of education and about the values that guide our conduct."
