Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

PT - The Incident

It sounds like they're taking a step ahead or something again. It's alot darker than any other PT album I've heard and it's not really... melancholic, like most of their stuff is. It is interesting. And I also hear downtuning.

Haha that's fucking awesome. He's really letting his Meshuggah influences loose.

Re: New PT. I've gone through the 'wow, this is going to take some getting used to' stage. I'm past the 'it's growing on me' part. Yesterday, it 'clicked' for me, after probably 7-8 full listens. It's magnificent, probably one of their absolute best. They are truly one of those bands you need patience with, with the likes of Rush, and to an extent Devin. If you're going to dismiss it with one or two listens, don't bother at all...

PT just came in the mail today -
I haven't listened to it yet; I'm just savouring having it in my hands now. It must be listened to properly, with the utmost attention, 100% focus on Porcupine Tree.
Hopefully tomorrow will meet Porcupine Tree-listening standards.
Downtuned a whole octave? Oh Steven! *faint*
