This one I've been kind of sitting on for a while. I recorded this a few weeks ago and wasn't sure if I was going to post it or not. Finally decided that since this one is probably my favorite of the 3 I recorded recently I would post it since I'm definitely happy with it.

It has my "signature" mix of melodic parts and chaotic parts. Also has a little tribute to Meshuggah that I felt fit very well with the song.

So let me know what you think!

Listening now,

Cool opening.....just enough dissonance. The syncopy and the droning are awesome. Much like Dream Theater and of course the Meshuggah part. I can totally hear a screaming lead as an outro. This song has no business with lyrics. I am really impressed, very good.

Thanks man. I personally love the noise solo a bit into it, for some reason those random solos can make a song feel very chaotic and disjointing without being more than random notes.

Also, an outro solo is something I thought about doing, and may still do in the future.

The intro was originally different, but my friend told me he thought it should be more ambient. So I played a kind of helter skelter version of the intro, pretty different than the original, and threw a ton of reverb on it. I love the outcome.

Well, considering I do have more than enough material to do one...I dont know lol.

I have a song me and my friend are collabing on right now. He wrote the first half and I've written the second half so far. It fits in pretty well with the stuff I've been posting too.

So we'll see. I know soon I'll have re-recorded versions of "Blind Ambivalence", "Biotica" and "Baritone test"(or Bending Time, the song is now called The Great White Shift) with vocals on them. So that will be a kind of EP I guess.

XD

Trust me, I bear no resemblance to Mr. T. I just thought the fact that they had him in the preset avatars was ridiculous.

And thank you, kind sir! My next original piece is going to be on my 8 string! Be ready for stupidly low stuff!

That is an awesome, awesome, song Anthony! :)

I love your style... the chaos and melody combination works rarely for me, but you really pull it off!

Keep it up! I will keep listening. :D

:D

That's what I aim for!

I've always wanted a dynamic style to my music. Heavy without relying on it. Melodic without sounding cheesy.

Granted I have a soft spot for totally heavy music that is always heavy. I also have a soft spot for electronic, acoustic, and other softer music.

I really appreciate all the comments guys. The band project I'm going to be starting in January is going to be kind of different than this. More based on chaos and heaviness. But we all share a soft spot for very dynamic music and many kinds of music. So hopefully one day it would turn out kind of like Between the Buried and Me where we felt that we can just go about writing music that is more dynamic than just heavy(but also different, see Spastic Dissidence)
