Only Devin's music has ever come anywhere near helping me through tough times. Thank you man, thank you so much.

I am sorry to hear that Matt. It is awesome that after all that you can smile at all....keep the faith.

Now I have some good perspective for when I think my life is bad at all....

That's a lot of shit there. Hope things turn around for you!

For me, Terria is a fantastic album in making all the problems seem smaller. It's just... Relaxing.

Man, thats horrible.

I'm mixing now, tired as fuck (I have to have everything delivered by Teusday) but I'm happy to do it if it means that much to you guys.

It does. I'm 41 and it is very rare that I find any one's music these days that does anything for me at all, let alone rival the music I loved and grew up with (80's metal, for lack of a better term), which in the last several years, yours has and then some. I am anxiously awaiting the release of this CD. From what I've heard, it sounds like, what are to me anyway, the best ingredients from the DTB albums rolled together into the most eargasmic album possible. :D

It REALLY does, hope its all going well!! I cant imagine the work that you and similar artists put into recording an album like this, im only an amateur musician but i still find even the most basic recording and mixing a challenge!

Still i bet its gonna sound fucking HUGE when its finished i really cannot wait! :D

Matt, Be a viking and everything will be allright.

Dont worry about a thing,
cause every little thing gonna be all right.

Rise up this mornin,
Smiled with the risin sun,
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin, this is my message to you-ou-ou :D

Hi Devin,

I feel bad that you're obviously knackered mixing this album within the time constraints.

Hope you get some well deserved sleep soon man.

Peace

I like what shredi knight said about Dev's music being the only thing rivaling the music he grew up with these days.
I actually found myself wondering if there was any music being made these days that I could pick up any album of a band and like it all?? Then I was thinking about Dev's music, how different it all is, and not only do I like it all, but love it all!!
I've been a fan since right before Terria came out, and Dev, I love that you keep putting out albums, mostly for the enjoyment of the music, but you keep giving me and probably others here something else that's pretty cool through it too.
We keep getting this awesome time of excitement and anticipation that we're all going through right now, its so fun, hearing clips of the new material here and there, reading updates on the process from you. It's sweet, it's like a couple months of Christmas eve....every time an album is coming out!
Anyways, super pumped!! Really glad to hear your in a good place now with all the stuff you've gone through and figured out over the years.
Thanks

Man, 2:30 am again? Shit...these days are CRUISING by...

I have to be finished (as in DELIVERED) by Teusday. So I'm burning th days up, start at 8 am, finish at about 3 am...falling asleep at the board etc.

Inside out got picked up by Century Media, which is great, becuase Addicted is awesome. Really. Straight up killer record. Makes me unusually emotional. The mix is pretty intense though. Immense amounts of tracks. Every song I open I'm like ...sigh... theres no 'easy' song. It's fucking pounding though. I kind of want to hear it, it makes people around me dance. I've never had that before. It's cool.

Travis has done a smack up job. Seriously, he's outdone himself on the art.

I can't wait to start Deconstruction next week. Talk about bat shit crazy...you have no idea!

Doing a remix for Rammstein starting on Weds. I like that band and I'm honored to help.

So yeah, other than falling asleep at the wheel here, I'm becoming very satisfied with this mix. It makes me want to jump around the room and smash the couch.

I just confirmed a slot in a tour in America in January. With (hopefully) Australia and Europe after. Canada later in the year. More news as it comes.
