Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

mmmmmm... Epica

You're pretty much the only person I know of who listens to quite a bit of Power/Symphonic metal on here. Or is it just a phase? Or am I seeing only posts of yours of this nature?

Arch Enemy - Blood On Your Hands

Just found out today that Arch Enemy will be releasing a CD soon with re-recorded tracks from their first three albums. Sounds fucking killer since the new vocalist rips. Arch Enemy is one of the few Swedish melodic death metal bands that I believe have been consistently good album after album. Though Anthems of Rebellion was a *little* of a downer I still think it kicks compared to other Swedish bands... *cough* In Flames *cough*.

Fixed. ;)

Music isn't a huge philosophy thing for me. Power metal never takes itself seriously. I's great

Zactly. Too many people hate power metal for it being too cheese to be called "metal"... but, thats what its meant to be. TOO cheesey, lol.

But still, thats only a small percentage. A lot of power/symphonic metal bands have awesome talent (Kamelot being one of them. Amazing vocalist, and the songs are decent musically; not just something to party to)

My early metal days were pretty much only that kinda music. First ever proper gig was to see HammerFall. It was AWESOME.

Cheese my ass! When I want to have a more relaxing time and loosen up a bit I always through on old Sonata Arctica, Hammerfall or Dragonforce. Great times! I cannot really understand these people who only listen to certain genres and think all others are shit. "metal fans" are missing out on a lot of very good music by turning their backs on power metal or which every genre they do not agree with.

I smell an argument coming a mile away, and I want no part in it.

Wow, there's lots of subgenres I don't particularly love. So I should listen to whatever crap whatever scene produced? Including all 1488 albums of trvue, white & aryan NSBM?

Don't come in here. It's dangerous.
