Something about Mike Patton makes you freak the fuck out. Or maybe I'm alone in that.

You know you aren't alone in that....

Patton! Who 'dat?

Frost* - Milliontown is all kinds of awesome, I concur.

islands: Thanks again for that Patton/Buckethead/DJ Flare bootleg. :)

Steph, have you heard Crudo yet?

No, I haven't been able to get hold of Crudo or Mondo Cane yet. Closest I've come to Crudo is Lovage, and Mojo off Peeping Tom.

Funny, I was watching Mondo Cane last night, but made myself quit after the first vid, since it was already past bedtime.

That Mondo Cane show is facking awesome. I cannot waaaaaaaait for the album to hit, but it probably won't be seen until next year. And Crudo sounds like it's gonna be great too.

Fingers, 5-string, Bass Collection something bass, plays through a chain with a compressor, some rack thing from Aphex (a gated compressor, like this), and a distortion pedal on some occasions. Amp is a Trace Elliot, 150 W if I'm not mistaken.

Neato! details ftw - I was just expecting something like "4 strings, fingers, compressor and some sort of amp." You know your shit :)
Keep us posted, this is going to rule.

Yeah! The thing is, I only got hip to this album like... a couple weeks ago. I never had anything against Yes, I just never really got around to it. But the CD is really interesting and engaging for a listener. And while opinions may be divided, but I happen to really like John Anderson's voice.
Anyways, I guess Starship Trooper is on the Yes album, but I really do like that song as well. Bass tremolo: very strange, but beautiful.

Edit: Listening to anything with a flanger in it, flange on voice, bass, guitar, keyboard... anything.
I love the sound of a flanger. And since flanger and deep chorus go hand-in-hand, I'm listening for that as well. That describes just about every Tool song, but there are others, e.g. on Bowness' voice in Soft Shoulders - No-Man.

Heh, I thought I was being vague actually. Whenever there's something new I'll put it in the thread I made over in the Personal Projects forum (look for Simius). We don't work fast anyway, since we're all pretty busy and stupid perfectionists. :D

Now listening to Swashbuckle's version of the Spongebob theme song. YARR.

Cilice - Deranged Headtrip

Dont know what to call these guys other than awesome. It's like Meshuggah on a serious acid trip or something. The music is incredible, the vocals are crazy. I love it.
