I agree with you for the most part... but what I ment is this. Through Dev's posts over the past few months and through this whole DTP timeline so far, it seems as though Dev is planning on distancing himself a bit from the "heavy" sound once all 4 DTP releases are out. And like I said in the last post, as a HUUUUGGEEEE Dev fan, I'm 100% with him on any decision he makes musically because Im almost certain he's incapable of writing a bad song lol. The man could record himself taking a shit and i'd buy it at this point. lol well maybe not that but you get what im trying to say. SO, that being said... I was just worried in the sense that since Dev is planning on maybe going down a lighter path in the future, it'd be extremely awesome if we got the last "taste" so to speak. It'd be nice to hear Addicted come out and be heavy and poppy like he had described it to be..and I would LOVE to hear Deconstruction come out and be the heaviest/weirdest shit he's ever written like he said. I dunno im kinda bad at explaining my thoughts on text but I'm sure you guys must see where im coming from and maybe agree?
Like I said, anything Dev does is bound to be amazing... I love his entire catalogue which as we all know is insanely diverse and different...im sure anything he does in the future, heavy or light, will make my hair stand up and give me the chills like all his older stuff does. I kinda assumed Addicted would be a AE, OM, Phycisist-y type of sound and Deco would be more along the lines of a SYL album in terms of the chaos and heavyness...
Dev, if your out there reading this can you shed a little light on that post? Are you planning on changing the direction of the next 3 DTP albums?
I don't really see why people care so much about the possible change of direction for any of the forthcoming projects. You don't have to always know exactly what's coming from an album, I think. I believe it makes it far more fun if you haven't a clue what's coming or what to expect.
