Greetings and welcome.

I am too sort of new. I had been lurking these forums for 3 years and finally decided to become an active member. You'll find that I have absolutely no sense of humor. Anything funny is by absolute mistake and I am usually always looking for new music but lack any time at all to fully consume new music. What a paradox.

I am from Kelowna, BC, Canada but I live in Finland now with my wife and daughter. Been listening to Devin Townsend since the release of SYL feather album and the solo stuff since Synchestra was released.

I've seen you around sometimes these past few years, I know your username. What an unusual way to be! I don't think I've ever met anyone with no sense of humour. Are you very intense and serious to be around? What interests you besides Dev and general music?

It's gotten boring where I'm at as of late for many reasons, so I think I'll post regularly here for a bit.
Thanks! :D

I'm surprised Abydost wasn't your first mention to be honest.

Abydost: for ass-photos, Tom Cruise penis and Sarah Silverman vagina. :D

He's just a delightful contribution to the forum in general!

Hi, I'm quite a recent fan of Devin but in these past couple of months I've bought Alien, The new black, SYL, Ocean Machine, Ziltoid, Ki, Terria and synchestra. Its a lot to absorb in a short time but I have really enjoyed Alien, Terria and Ki, but every one of these albums has actually had something I've enjoyed. Interesting music from and interesting person.

MUSICAL HISTORY
Thought I might let myself be known. I bought the new DT recently and wanted to tell someone about it so I found my way here. Been into DTB for quite a while -- I fell in love with Terria first of all and then branched out from there. I've heard a little bit of SYL but not enough to make comment. I think my "niche" or what I like most is progressive metal/rock music and hence the attraction to the DT brand. But I just love music it all started when I just started listening to every band I could think of or had heard of: went throught the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s including hip/hop, jazz, metal, rock and I just listened to all this music and kind of arrived at the point I'm at now which is very much into prog metal/prog rock. I think I've hit the jackpot, I think I've found my utopia of music at least for the time being and am stoked about this.

PERSONAL HISTORY
Well it ain't all chocolate and roses and truth be known I'm still searching for my slice of heaven!

Look forward to talking music with ppl and hopefully discovering some great new bands. Peace to all.

Good day to all! Long time Dev fan, new member to the board, all that jazz. I'm sure I don't need to explain why I'm here, as I assume we are all here for the purpose of groveling before the greatest and palest musician the world has ever known, and I'm not talking about John Williams. Anyhow, Dev has inspired me in all facets of my life, but most importantly his music has led me down the path of musical discovery. I retain my love for all things heavy, but he has truly shown me to open up to other genres.
