The intensity in his music is something I've never experienced with any other artist. My all-time favourite artist is Neil Hannon but that's because I've loved The Divine Comedy since I was five; Dev is not only on par with Neil musically, he also manages to surpass him in terms of the conviction portrayed in his music. They're similar in that they're somewhat off the beaten track; that is, their themes and subject matters are a good deal more profound or surprising than any other artists I know. But in terms of genre, they're both ahead of the curve. <3
