Well hello there!

I'm new here and since i've been stalking the board for a while now, let me introduce myself I'm Joris (good luck pronouncing that in English ^^), 20 year old male from The Netherlands (well known for Amsterdam perhaps ?) and i absolutely love Devin's music (friends call me The Addict ) I also listen to a lot of prog metal like Ayreon, Pain of Salvation and Dream Theater.

I first found Strapping Young Lad/Devin on Last.fm, and after some listening it wasn't long before i got hooked. I'm a student (science <3!) and some of my hobbies include photography, music, and hanging out with my awesome friends

I found out about SYL when my mate sent me a link to the outstanding song, Love?
was hooked straight on from there,
As for Mr Townsend himself, I was told to listen to him by 2 mates of mine And once i did I just couldn't Stop! hahahah! only thing i regret is not knowing of this sooner.

Plus! Gene Hoglan is one of my Favourite drummers

Hey! Love? was the first Dev I heard as well. It wasn't until Leechy one day approached me and said OMG ORLY I HAVE FOUND THE SONG I WANT PLAYED AT MY FUNERAL. It was Life, and we listened to the rest of Ocean Machine: Biomech then. The trend sort of caught on and we ended up collecting everything he'd ever done and four years later we're die-hard fans...
