I don't think they were giving him credit for everyone great that happened on this planet. It was his funeral and people tend to say great things about people at their funerals. Everyone praised James Brown to high heaven at this funeral and he was a notorious woman beater.

exactly. ima HUGE fan of Mr Brown and i realize how fucked up a man he was. they blew him out of proportion asa model of perfection. he wasnt even good looking for starters! even when he was young.
