Hey Devin no pressure. Take your time... It's not a problem if the album is released in november, december or in 2010 before the last two albums... The important is that you perfect all the aspects of it and to be proud of it. I can't wait but No pressure because with too much pressure the emotions and the passions are lost. Have a nice day... Yeah, stress...this is a crucial time for old dev here...lots of things are potentially good in my 'career' right now, but it takes a ton of housecleaning and spending, and I'm so busy recording that theres no time...

a strong wind can blow it either way, though it's become about 52% positive now, so hope springs eternal...

Addicted is another wrestling match...I'm 2% into the advantage now though, and have big feet to stick in the door...

I get feelings from each of these records...with Ki I remember feeling like it was 'going to suprise me', Addicted...I felt 'People are going to really like this'... Deconstruction I get the feeling like 'This will be my crowning achievement' and the last one, honestly I get the thought that it 'isn't the same as the others, and you'll know it when you get there...don't think too much about it'

website is almost ready with the new vid, and the live q&a etc...things move slowly lately.

Addicted is a wall of sound, better sounding than my old wall, and the songs are kick ass...3 songs came in dreams, Timmy, Ih-Ah, and Anneke singing Hyperdrive.

It's a party record I guess...good for exercising, but theres something about it that I find VERY moving, very moving...

Deconstruction I could spend a year recording...we'll see. I won't rush them just to meet deadlines...I'd be doing it to prove a point, not to make the best albums I can.

Good. Make the record the way you want to. If you're satisfied in the end, then that's all that matters.

Man, I don't know if this is the right thread for musician fellating, but I am so goddamn pumped for this album. Ki was fantastic, got the signed copy, and this next record just keeps looking better and better by the day. It's a bloody freezing winter down here in Tasmania, so with any luck I'll have an anthem for the spring.

I'm totally convinced everything you touch is gold, man, so I've got no worries here. Broke my streak of not posting just to pass the love on. Peace, your music makes me a happy man.

My God, these are exciting times. Its fucking hard waiting like this. I sometimes wonder if its better not to know that new music is on the way.

Thats great news, i kind of hoped it would be, listening to the clips on youtube you get kind of an idea, i was always hoping there would be LOADS of huge layered vocal melodies, annekes never really done that in the gathering or agua de annique (is that right?) so im looking forward to some EPIC harmony stuff!! Lots of Dev screaming with female backing vocals would sound awesome too! Oh im so excited about this record now! I think its gonna be my favorite of the lot!

I am glad Deconstruction is beginning to be a more personal experience for you. For a minute it was sounding like it might be a record you were just doing for the SYL fans. Crowning achievement? Man, it must be really, really good.

I am really curious about "Timmy". Please tell me it has nothing to do with South Park! LOL.

And btw Dev...thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind words about The Omega Experiment. Interest in our project has skyrocketed since Saturday....I don't know how I can ever repay you for that.

i'm not dev, but: no. it just means there's millions of layers of everything. devin mentioned earlier on that he learned a lot about compression while producing other bands, and has become more careful about it over time.
