When you get it, tell me how it is, tell me about it. I'm curious. I watched this two-part interview on youtube with Mariusz, and he talked a little bit about it. It reminded me of the FoaBP message, but a little different focus... the concept is good, interesting. I like when people older than me observe the flaws and horrible changes of younger generations - I really do! Makes you think, and open your eyes a bit.

I have it :P And it's awesome! I've had the leak for a few weeks though so I was already familiar with it. Yet to see the DVD, but that gig was in Amsterdam so it should be good too :D

Dude, remember...she's one of those "i dont do leaks" people. Total buzz kill! haha

Hey! Fuck you! I have the will-power to wait!
The real reason is, I'm not cool enough to track down leaks even if I wanted to; plus with a CD, you can always ensure good sound quality! :D I don't want some random guy's sloppy-leak-seconds.

So...you're NOT addicted to music then? :?

Everyone here is, why else would we be here?
I just don't mind waiting to hear something on my own terms. The first listen is important to me, and part of the fun is waiting for something then finally getting it after all the anticipation. Has absolutely nothing to do with being addicted to music or not, it's a matter of personal choice of how one wants to enjoy their music. And like I said, I want to hear music in it's full CD-quality glory!

Damn, if I weren't such socially inept twat I'd be popular here now. Bloke who worked here were mates with Mariusz Duda (shared rehearsal space or something, had some early recordings of him etc.). Dude isn't here anymore (he's full time selecta now) so I'm only the guy who knew a guy who knows Riverside's Mariusz Duda.

Also I've seen Riverside's Grudzien and that big drummer fellow (possible there were other ones, but overlooked them I guess) on über obscure prog gig few weeks ago. World's magical, isn't it.

Wow! That's really awesome, you're only 2 degrees from Mariusz... you're even closer to him probably than Steven Wilson on my 6-degrees of Prog chart. And Steven Wilson is one of the biggest hubs on the chart. Way to go! He pwns everyone else though  I wonder if MD is a nice guy, he seems so serious - I bet he's cool. Yeah, he's cool, I can sense it. :D

Have you ever seen Riverside live? I've been checking their website, and they do tons of shows in Poland, and in surrounding countries. Biert's going to see them... and he'd better tell me everything

Seen them twice, during tours promoting "Second Life Syndrome" and "Rapid Eye Movement" I think. They're among bestselling bands here which actually got me bit surprised.

National best selling album chart is pretty fucking optimistic in Poland, actually. Obviously there's lot of poppy pop there, but on the other hand tad more ambitious stuff has strong presence, by example, two weeks ago Riverside's last album was 6th and last Dream Theater was 4th, selling waaay more records than Eminem, Beyonce or Lady GaGa. Maybe there's more piracy amongst popsters than among prognerds yarr.

Concert tickets :D:

September 13th: Edguy

September 22nd: Porcupine Tree

November 13th: Vader

Also just got invited to see John Legend for free in August.

If I can get the money, I'll be seeing Ian Anderson live playing acoustic Tull.

Let me know if I should see the following live:

Atheist
Obituary
Stratovarius
Jedi Mind Tricks

Oh really? I snagged these morsels from the Mariusz Duda Street Team myspace page and from their website:
-"Riverside has also announced that it is the best selling album in Poland... "
-"Anno Domini High Definition" Album of The Month in "Metal Hammer" Greece .
Tuesday, 7 July 2009"
-"Last week it debuted on the sixth place, and this week it has reached the first.
It is an honour for us and we would like to thank everybody who has bought our latest record!"

My heart fluttered! That's awesome by any standard. And even more so because they're proggy :P
Anyways, cool you got to see them! Neato, maybe one day for teh Catlin - could happen 8)

Ooh topic: I almost bought a digital recorder yesterday so I could not forget bass ideas after I think of them =( They were $100 though... *sigh*
