I just found out my best buddy is coming to hang out at my university house the same day that I was going to go up. I originally thought I was going to be hanging out by myself (without internet), but now we have an exciting couple of days planned including but not limited to: a Canada Day potluck, smoking a doob before going to see the fireworks in town, excessive drinking, bowling, and several Bruce Campbell movies.

Burglars fooooound. I just need to identify my stuff that was recovered (sadly just a 35mm SLR and possibly some compact flash cards, but evidence is evidence!), so they can confirm it was definately them who did it. Apparently it was found amongst a hoarde, PS3, phones, MP3 players etc. also found. So we were part of a mass job, they'll get a longer sentance.


Also got a new laptop, Super Mario Firefox theme is off the amazing scale.

Just got my college results.. Got one First Class Honours and three First Degree Second Class Honours.

Put in perspective, my college system works as thus:
Fail
Third Class (3)
Second Degree Second Class (2.2)
First Degree Second Class Honours (2.1)
First Class Honours (1)

Slightly annoyed cos I thought I might get a little better than that in two of the 2.1 subjects, but when I think about the fact that they were only 2% off a First Class Honours each (the other was 6% off), I'm pretty happy!

An overall First Degree Second Class Honours as well, which was again only 2% off an overall First Class Honours. And that's without actually really applying myself consistently all year. So if I actually try and focus all throughout next year I should hopefully be able to get an overall First Class. But for now I'm happy I don't have to repeat any exams, and am in general feelin' pretty good about my year!

I've been using it for months (since the beta) and it's been very stable for me.

Major improvements are a "porn mode" and the blistering fast TraceMonkey javascript engine. It's faster than Chrome's V8 engine apparently.

Wow really? Yeah Adult Swim has little notices that the new Metalocalypse season is coming out, and they're going to be 30 MINUTES instead of a too short 15 min. Seriously, 15 min. is too short
