Not sure about that. The global downturn has eaten into attendances slightly, but we'd probably still be the 2nd or 3rd highest attended football competition on earth, on a per game average, like we have been the last few years.

'Only' 77,000 tonight. We're probably the only sport on the planet where 77,000 is a slightly disappointing crowd! The cold and rain must have kept a few away.

Eagerly awaiting the upload of this game to aussieports tv so I can watch Dids pick up 30+ again, and see big Travis play himself into some form (finally!). Bulldogs this week will be a big test for us.

77K is still a big crowd, but I would have thought 80+ considering the hype. Wonder if Sat arvo would have brought in bigger numbers?

Being in the US at the moment I've spoken to a couple of people about sport, and some NFL teams have some majorly hardcore support. The NY Giants have 135,000 people on a waiting list for season tickets, and the waiting time is 25 years! The Washington Redskins are at 150,000 and 30 years. The Packers have a 100+ year waiting list!

God I want a meat pie right now... :P
