Anyways, I've written a few more tracks and removed a few tracks, believe it or not, it got a bit too heavy, or 'relentless' in a way that sounded a bit stretched thin emotionally. So I wrote a kind of 'ballad' called 'Ih-Ah' this morning (at about 4:30 am, I woke from a dream about me posting the song on the internet and loving it, then realizing it hadn't been written yet, so I got up and wrote it, lyrics and all...it's 6:41 am now and I'm going to the studio to record it.)

Interesting days, I feel very blessed, trying to live each day for the glory that each day is...I can walk, and I get to make music.

Whoa, something similar happens to me... I write the best melodies when I am just about asleep, or just about awake....in those moments where I feel out of my body, and I get a nagging sensation that if I don't get up and record it, it will be lost forever because I won't remember it. I am glad to hear that you care enough about these records to scrap and add songs to fit your vision so late in the game. Kudos...

Ih-Ah... a ballad excellent. I think it's a transition in the album (the 7th song?) like ain't never gonna win in the Ki album but more emotional than ain't... Very good... Can't wait to hear that and the rest of the album.

wow Dev, that is really great to hear! Congratulations on your new discovery. Every update you make sounds more and more like you are have a great time with this album and it has a lot more passion in it than your prevoous work. Not that there isn't any passion but that you may have found your own being with Addicted.

glad to hear you've wriiten a nice ballad! I was thinking that addicted would be kind of relentless from the few clips we've seen...im thinking that the songs will be generally straightforward structually, verse chorus verse chorus etc rather than going through different styles in each song...

Hope you didnt scrap "resolve" or "numbered" those tracks sounded fucking killer!!

Theres 14 songs, and really...I like them all, but all in one place, it's actually too much information and I'm relieved when the cd is over, so I'm just going to take the best ones and pace it in a way that is emotionally proper.

Too much of a good thing can be fatiguing...

That's a cool track name, Ih-Ah.

Is there a story behind it?

Yeah, had a day with the family yesterday, and kind of realized how good I've got it...there's people who are disabled, people who are in horrible places in life, yet everybody has their lot.

The crime is not having health and ability and what not, it's not appreciating it...I was at a parade yesterday and an old man came up to me and said 'smile, it's a holiday' ...I guess I realized how much time I spend feeling 'sad' or whatevr, and when I look at people who are in much worse situations than you or I, it makes me feel horrible about complaining at all.

Had a long conversation with Mark (guitar for Addicted) and he helped me quite a bit, awesome friend. Ih-Ah was what was in the dream, I guess it's both an exclamation and a vocalization.

Had a dream about a ballad, been awake since 4:30 working on it, it will be finished and mixed today. I find it very moving actually.

Yes, everything that doesn't make the album with be bonus material, for sure!

How does that work anyway? Since drums are already done etc, won't there be any drums for Ih-Ah?

Isn't technology awesome? You can dream up a song, record it and mix it in a day.....and, NEXT! Gotta love it.

Its going to be amazing to hear Ih-Ah when we know the story behind its creation.
I need to stay positive at the moment, relationship stuff is killing me.
Must remember there are people worse off. It does help :-)
