Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

Mike Patton & The X-Ecutioners - General Patton vs. The X-Ecutioners

I also listened to a version of It's Going Down done by the X-Ecutioners, Biohazard and Xzibit on YooChoob a minute ago. I wish people could amalgamate rap and metal more often. It really seems to always work well.

Revocation - Fields of Predation

Only band I will tolerate pig squeals in because he doesnt do them all the time, only when they actually fit. This band does rock, in a very hard and serious fashion.

I've always liked that song (the original with the dude from Linkin Park), that version is pretty sweet as well. I've always enjoyed Xzibit more as a rapper than a TV show host.

I heard some of the new Dream Theater album, and I must say it was absolutely hilarious. It's really cheesy, but maybe without the vocals it'd be a bit better. We'll see--I have yet to hear the full album, anyway.

As for what I'm enjoying in a non-comical (or semi-comical) way:
The Mars Volta - De-loused in the Comatorium and Frances the Mute (might give Octahedron a try soon)
Mastodon - Crack the Skye
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
The Fall of Troy - Phantom on the Horizon
Dev - Infinity (and the EP), Terria, Synchestra, Ocean Machine, Ki, and those Addicted videos

And lots of other stuff. I've had some overnights at work, so I've had my iPod on constantly--eight or nine hours of music for each one.
