Great clips. I enjoyed Resolve a lot. Great chorus.

The guitar tone reminds me of Ocean Machine, the actually riffing of Accelerated Evolution and the vocal styles quite resembles Physicist but the melodies remind of me Ocean Machine.

sounds absolutley amazing.
Interesting riffs catchy, melodic, dreamy.

Fucken sic. lovin the upstroke during the guitar break in universe.

Also if someone knows or even dev himself can say, what was the title of the 2nd song preview on the 'a better idea video'
I loved the sound of that track so much.

cheers.

Numbered, Addicted, Resolve and Universe. All songs clicked with me right away which is great because I am absolutely sick of all the new albums from my favourite bands that have to "grow on me" before I can start enjoying them.

Songs that have to "grow on you" are the signs of a shitty album. Songs that click right away are sure signs of a winner album.

So I can't help but speculate every day whats going to "top it" for me. As a (shitty) guitarist myself...

...Ziltoid came out and I just tripped for weeks on playing Hyperdrive, and listening to Color Your World (subsequently trying to play the wonderful arpeggio section, and still falling short to this day [if anyone's got something more concrete, hollar]). I didn't even have to touch a guitar to know these tracks would be so much fun for my fingers. You could just feel it in the song.

At this point I took a trip in the wayback-machine and listened really hard to Decimator from Alien one day, heard some things I never heard before and decided I had to play it to PROVE to myself I could, but was disappointed to find it was for a 7string.

So then Dev spoiled us rotten with the bass tracking for Ki on youtube... and I must say, jolly good show. He could have spoiled us with anything else and I doubt it would have got our panties any more wet than that segment of Ki itself. So now I fixate on this part, and I constantly play it back to back until my fingers get tired while I watch Star Trek or something, then 5 minutes later I go again. I just can't help it. Mind you I'm still playing around with For Your Malice by Lamb of God on my bottom 3 (and detuned ;\).

Now I sit and ponder what it's going to be next for me to fixate on in Addicted, because I KNOW it's coming. It's just a matter of time. I was watching that 2 1/2 minute Numbered video on youtube about every hour on the hour, but it's gone now. That solo maybe.........oh I just can't see, it's too soon and too foggy. But it waits.

Just nitpicking... Decimator is from The New Black not Alien. And a few years back isn't too far in the wayback-machine.

If you want to board that ship go way back to 1978 with Rush's Hemispheres and give La Villa Strangiato (An Exercise in Self-Indulgence) a run for the money. That should tickle your guitar fingers for some time. A great song to listen to and a real blast to play on guitar.

Sounds absolutley amazing like everytime but in a different way. I can't wait. It's true that there's a similitude with ocean machine, phycisist and infinity . It's an excellent introduce to the new album. Monumental? I'm sure of that. :guitar: Thank's Devin... Excellent work.

I should be dissapointed a bit since looks like Dev's returning to the "old" sound after Ki (which was DIFFERENT, which was cool).

But I replayed "Resolve" clip hundred times already, made hair on every bit of me stand up (I love this uplifting shit - I think this music can dig people out of depression and save lifes) and I guess I'll listen to this record till my ears bleed when it's done. So yeah, I'm waiting for more.

wow i was literally lost for words after listening to the resolve clip...

mixture of feelings....its like, just incredible, reminded me of physicist a LOT, not hearing A.E i think the sound is too slick...i always remember dev saying he didnt like the overall sound of physicist and if he did it again would make it sound BETTER i think thats what im hearing here!

Annekes vocals in resolve sound HUGE...cannot wait for this record!
