How do you violate YOUTUBE protocol if you are posting original content with original video... I mean these rules are here to protect musicians and actors but if the musician or actor is doing it himself I don't see what the issue is....

Because the video (as opposed to the audio) was snagged from other youtube video. Either they've got some automated system that automatically kills these videos, people that manually check popular videos, or someone that owned one of the original videos complained.

maybe the vid was in trouble due to using video footage not belonging to mr Devin? 
im not sure, but youtube has become such a pain in the cashews as of late. so many good videos either deleted or "muted" due to copyrighted audio.
this is all good in theory, but it kinda fucks things up when people make fan videos for the artists they love
