Hello Devin are you ok? I'm a french guy who came from Strasbourg and I can't wait for you're 3 next albums... For me all of your albums are fantastic. You're my favourite artist of all time and I have more than 1000cds (pain of salvation, opeth, dream theater, enslaved, anathema, green carnation, katatonia, evergrey etc...) in my discography (metal, rock, prog, pop...). I'm a multi instrumentalist too and I compose actually a concept album on the alccool theme. My preference are in order top 10 (but it's very difficult to rank your album because it's depends on the day and they deserve all a perfect score...): 1)Terria, 2)Ocean machine, 3)ki, 4)infinity(+ep christeen), 5)Accelerated evolution, 6)ziltoid, 7)synchestra, 8)phycisist, 9)ass sordid demos 1, 10)the hummer... and for the SYL albums: 1)city, 2)syl, 3)alien, 4)the new black, 5)heavy is a really... But it's depends on the person. I prefer your solo album (more emotional) than the syl's albums but for other person it's the contrary and I respect that. Have a nice day and I hope you continue to have the inspiration you had all of your life without stress but with passion and genius. And don't forget to protect your family.

i am a huge Björk fan and think she has a deadly unique voice. But i really doubt it would be suitable for metal. Even with the tricks of Hevy Devy.

haha see im hinting at that unequivocally insane rendition of rocketman that we all remember fondly.

Bjork has a very unique voice, and my point is exactly what GuyOne said. It seems like an awesome combination at first - more you think of it, it sounds like a sloppy situation. She's no doubt a few parks short of a picnic, and imo She'd try and ride devy and I wouldn't ever wanna see that!

I'd love to see a few people work with Devy....Marco Sfogli & Tosin Abasi, Mikael Akerfeldt, Robert Del Naja, Mike Patton, Peter Tagtgren, Paul Ruskay and Stef Carpenter.

Bring on the Trey Spruance collaboration!

I can't even imagine what he and Dev might come out with.

But there is the fourth record... Besides, I think any good singer could be used for metal as well, it just takes a different kind of approach.

But as far as female singers go, my pick would be maybe Heather Findlay, but she has actually already performed with Devin on the same record (The Human Equation).

maxoulou, welcome to the forums! You're order of the records is almost exactly just how I would do it myself, so good taste. :)

E: Btw. I wonder how big names Dev could actually possibly get for his albums? I mean, not every super star is that open to go do guest appearances...

No problem, if it didn't sound good then I wouldn't have given it a second listen. Sounds alot better than all this deathcore shite. Are some of your influences Sikth/Meshuggah?

I'd never rule anything out with bjork, and its not her voice that is the issue, just I think her personality is strange at best. I've read a fair amount about her pulling unpredictable tantrums.

Sikth rules...can't find their stuff over here. Someday maybe i will order Death of a Dead Day. I have only heard them from Youtube vids. Meshuggah....of course!

Bjork is a weirdo....

Thank's wander for your reply... :D. I'm happy to read that the ranking of the devin's albums I have made are like or nearly like you want. Have a nice day...

And Devin if you are here and If you have a little time... What is your favourite album you have ever done? I know it's very difficult to say that because it's depend on the mood but...

What is the release date of Addicted (approximately 10 july? or september? or?). Thank's a lot... Stay cool. :guitar:
