Christian and Raymond finally spoke out regarding what was going down with the whole thing. apparently there is a court battle going on to see who gets rights to the band name

How I love when bands start to act like companies. Sooo metal.

It's bloody stupid, thats what it is! lol!

Christian and Raymond wanted to leave so they could continue with Arkaea. I don't see why they have to go into another feud with each other and lose their friendship with Burton and co.

Gene and Byron are a great addition to the band. With their expertise from SYL, I'm sure they'll easily fit into the scheme of things with Fear Factory. I'm really looking forward to this tour though. I wonder if they have any other dates planned. They always did extremely well when they tour Australia. Take Demanufacture and Archetype for example. Both tours did amazingly well, same goes for Transgression.

Looking at that recent photo of Dino, he reminds me so much of my mate. lol!

When I saw Ray saying the 8 demo songs were actually the songs that would go right into FF's new album, then I realized that it really wasn't the true FF anymore.
I am convinced that the 'new' FF - considering Gene and Byron were in SYL- with Dino will recreate FF's true sound like on Pre-Archetype era, not that Archetype and Transgression were bad.
I just hope they keep the industrial sci-fi themed metal, that's all I wish.
And I already bought tickets for their concert here in Hamburg yeah \m/

Dino actually mentioned in the latest FF interview that they were going back to work with Rhys Fulber, so i'd imagine the industrial theme will be back into the project.
as Dino was a big driving force in the music direction before Christian was given more chance to input in the band, i think we'll see a return to form.
after all, Dino has something to prove after those last 2 FF albums were down without him.

it is indeed one of the most bizarre things to happen in metal, recently.

Dont forget that Byron was their bassist back during Achetype too, so he will no doubt fit right in since he already knows their music so well. Gene is a beast who fits in where he plays. He fucking played in Opeth for a while, the dude can do anything.

And how. I heard that back during the Sound of the Underground tour with Opeth and SYL, Lopez fell sick. Then Gene spent some time in the back of the tour bus with a discman, listening to every song twice, air/knee-drumming along. And when Opeth hit the stage, he played that shit flawlessly! Legend!

I didn't know that they plan to work with Rhys again. If that's to happen then FF will fucking kick ass again just like in the nineties.
As far as I know Gene playing in SYL, he is a true legend at the drums. He really deserves the name 'Atomic clock'. I cam so excited about what's left to happen this year.

No kidding. I really wish I could have seen them on that tour, along with SYL...

Yes indeed.. That's fucking idiotic. :?

haha! the aus dates are probably next. thank allah i keep receipts. i would suggest they title the band "Fear Factory 2" or something to that extent to escape any real legal difficulties if it helps the touring.

I believe they have the name trademarked so they can't even do that.
