It feels too bureaucratic, and discourages me from visiting this section of the forums, it's kind of moot having so many threads.

Also am I posting this in the right one? I can't tell, maybe I'll put it in several.

How does it feel, way up there in your inscrutable mountain of awesome? Does it get cold?

The air is obviously very thin up there... :P

In all fairness, when you're reading essentially the same message in 4 different threads, then yes I share the bureaucratic feeling.

I third the motion. Haha. Third sounds like turd if you're from where I'm from. Stupid culchie accent.

However, to reinstate myself among the "What I am doing right now..." plebs; I'm winding down after a hard day's work. I also went to the jim today. He was nicer than I expected. According to several large robots, 750 of my calories were burned. I wonder if that's like the burning you do with CDs. Then I swam around for a while in a nice pool and then I went into a hot foggy room where there were several scantily-clad fat middle-aged men, so I left after about a minute. Although the rest of the experience was so nice that I think I probably won't be fat anymore. It was only sixty quid for ten visits! You can go on all the machines and in the pool for as long as you like! And it's a minute away on my bicycle. This place is so much better than Cork.

Now I think I'll go share that tiny quiche I procured earlier with that tiny cat I procured earlier. But that means I'll have to post in the "What are you eating/drinking" thread too. DARN, DARN THE LUCK![/huntsman]

If in doubt stick to the Random Thoughts thread then. You don't have to use these other ones, but since your fellows started 'em they have remained popular so far.

If I can't tease you in jest, does that mean my opinion shouldn't be expressed?

If I were serious, my friend, I would have PM'd you for respect's sake. It's all good, here. Please....opine to your heart's content.

I don't think anyone meant any malice in anything they said. Come on folks, take this outside!

Eh, ontopic I'm simmering after an annoying encounter with some Italian fucktards. I went out yesterday evening because there was only one more party to arrive and they hadn't specified an arrival time. I left at maybe 7.30 and came back at 9.20. The entire time I was out (save for maybe 20 minutes when I was swimming) I was contactable by phone and I had a notice on the door saying "Gone Out Briefly - Back at 9.30 latest. In case of arrival/emergency contact ..." and I gave my number.

Anyway, in the middle of breakfast they call here. I mean, 9am is the time between 8am and 10am when everyone wants breakfast. So in between bringing pots of tea and plates toast to the dining room, I manage to answer the door. There are two old men, Italian by the sounds of them. They had basically called to say "You weren't here when we arrived so we went somewhere else". I apologised for not being here (although I disagree that I'm obliged to be here at every moment of the day so long as I'm accessible by phone and within a few minutes cycle...) and asked them if they'd like to stay here tonight, to which they replied that they were going away today and that they had been here at 6pm yesterday waiting for me (BULLSHIT, because I was there ALL DAY until 7.30). They basically just called to give out to me for not waiting for them all day.

If I arrived at somewhere I'd booked and there was a note on the door with a contact number, I'd CALL THE NUMBER. I wouldn't show up the next morning to make a person feel bad when I had made NO EFFORT WHATSOEVER to get in touch with them. I leave those notes on the door every time I go out, there's never been a problem before. The most annoying thing is that it would've taken me a maximum of ten minutes to get changed and hop on my bike to get back to them if they'd bothered to ring.

You see, the point of that announcement is to denote that the statement succeeding "not to be a dick" won't be insulting or nasty. Just like you can't follow "not to be a racist" with "but I love committing hate crimes" or "but that guy is a nigger".
