Venetian Snares - Filth

I think at this point I feel pretty confident saying it's my album of the year and that's not going to change.

This is semi-directed towards Alucard, but not elusively -

So I just randomly looked up Sybreed on youtube... I had time on my hands, wanted to hear something new -

and It was cool. I was digging it, but then some dude started singing, oh man. Could not handle that. Not my cup of tea at all, but the music was interesting :)

Listening to
Cut Ribbon - Porcupine Tree
Townsend - Ki
SYL - City
Opeth - Watershed, Coil in particular, that song has a real soft spot in my heart :)

Seems like the new album is taking forever to get here!
Towards the end of this year I think.

Heard they are doing some live dates with the Kings of Leon. Not sure that's a good fit myself.

Currently listening to Ki

Sybreed's vocals are nice, especially on Antares. Cant wait for their new album and to see them in August!

How do you define nice?

Maybe it was just the song I heard, but I was listening, and then... just damn.

I mean they fit. I couldn't imagine Sybreed with different vocals. I also hate when people let vocals ruin good music :P You'd get over them in due time. When I first started listening to most of the bands I now listen to regularly, I had a hard time with the vocals but got so used to them I just cant see those bands without them anymore.

NP: Rod y Gab - Vikingman live in Tokyo.

Also, more good news on the music front: Scar Symmetry is already recording a new album! First one with their new vocalists, I'm anxious to hear how that will sound in the end.
