Un-awesome: I don't know what the hell to do. I'm 19, afraid of bloody everything, but yet I have big dreams I'd love to fulfil. But I'm too afraid to open up about it, because whenever I did, all I was ever told is, "You can't do that. It's not realistic. You can't do that, because of [x, y and z].

There are still people well into their 30's who feel that way. I think that's how you're supposed to feel, I do!

Keep dreaming big, that will drive you to get where you want to be, or at least in another cool place, you never know what's going to come your way :)

Oh and about the 'it's not realistic,' or I hear a lot 'how will you make a career with that?' that's just... try not to let that stop you from moving forward with want you reaaally want to do. You could settle for something more ordinary, but then you probably wouldn't be all that happy. Where there's a will, there's a way ya know?

Yeah, I know what you mean, completely. I hate the line "And how will you make a career out of that?" Welll I tell you what, I'll get a normal job to pay for the roof over my head, and do what I really want in my spare time. It's all there, vaugely worked out. I guess I just gotta try and force myself into the open. (What a scary thought. :P )

So...is anyone else using Firefox experiencing Flash problems? I swear, I've had more problems with Firefox 3 than any other browser out there. I'm using Google Chrome right now because at least that browser stores my cookies and the flash isnt fucked.

(yes, I've tried everything to save cookies on firefox, nothing worked)

You should try a complete removal (including your profile) and then re-install it. Sometimes configuration files get messed up and break things.

If you don't want to lose your bookmarks/passwords/..., you could try backing those up first using mozbackup or similar.

If you do this, I suggest installing the latest beta for Firefox 3.5. It's stable as hell for me, and the final should be out quite soon. This will eliminate the risk of things getting messed up again during the upgrade.

Also, Flash isn't part of Firefox, it's a completely separate component that's known to cause a lot of problems. You could also try removing the plugin and re-installing.

Found out my family doctor could possibly be dead in the next year. Cancer of the lungs, colon, pancreas and throat. He's in his early 40's. Funny, you never really think that a doctor can get sick too. :?

Sorry for the bad news, Leechy. Hope he lives the remainder of his days as happy as he can.

I'd say he will. It was just such a shock to the system when I heard. Like I said, there's a mental block on the possibility that people who work in healthcare can also get illnesses just like the rest of us. I hope he'll be alright, cos he's a really nice guy with a wife and a few little kids. It just sucks that he didn't find out sooner. Might've stopped the spread.

My gripe of the day is relating to headphones breaking at the very beginning of a long bus journey. Annoying! :?

Y'know what isn't cool? Getting to sleep at ten, and then gettting woken up (BAD SENTENCE IS BAD, IGNORE AND IT WILL GO AWAY) two hours later by a fat man stomping through your house, making a ruckuss getting into bed and then snoring like a buzz saw when you have an exam the next day.

Then getting out of bed to complain about it on the internet to a bunch of people at the other end of the world? :P

That's ok, just hit him back the same way: AC/DC has been making the same album since the 80's.
