I'm recovering after a pretty traumatic breakfast-making experience. Who knew that somebody could be stupid AND useless simultaneously? Me last night: "Do we have all the food for breakfast tomorrow?" Reply: "Yes, have food for breakfast." I look in the fridge this morning and we have barely anything. I run across in the POURING rain to find the shop has no sausages. So it's eggs and rashers for the guests. They were pretty pissed off. And she had spent the petty cash on her OWN dinner yesterday, that is NOT what it's for. I had to use money customers had given me.

I'm pretty buggered off. I wish she'd go away.

No idea but ! The manager hates her, he knows she's pretty incompetent. I guess she's still on her trial period too because this is only her second week. And being non-Irish, she works for a pittance. Being desperate, so do I but he really seems to like me. I think it bugs him that I'm doing all of the cooking and a lot of the cleaning even though my sole purpose is to greet guests and address any problems that they have. He'll probably tell her the next day he's over but for now I have to do half of her share and all of mine. Primarily out of expectation from her, partly out of politeness because I don't want to fall out with the person I have to live with 24/7.

Black Books is definately hardcore. I'm currently grinding my spine with the shiatsu machine I found in the loft. Not spent an entire gig in a moshpit for years, still in pain from Friday.
