Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

I believe we've been over this already, but: gorgeous album. Especially the alternate tapping/keyboard parts in Black Light Machine.

... and the first John Mitchell solo in Black Light Machine.

And the SECOND John Mitchell solo in Black Light Machine.

And Black Light Machine in general.

Actually, John Mitchell in general is pretty incredible if you don't count certain parts of Arena. Check out It Bites: www.myspace.com/itbites

It's worth repeating. 8)

And with Black Light Machine, I'm at 25,000 tracks. Whoop-di-do for me!

That track is the bands best song, and one of my favorite songs of all time. It's never long enough. Milliontown is 26 minutes of all awesome, and it's still not as good as Black Light Machine. Frost* fused 70's prog with 2000's pop sound in the best way possible.

Minus The Bear - Planet of Ice

So good. So mellow. Just awesome.

Then some Veil of Maya to change it up!

I am just an Agalloch obsessive at the moment.
Ashes Against the Grain again.

I am trying to get the White EP on eBay right now. I think I might pay over the odds but it was limited to 1000 copies so its rare. Show me the money!

This band gets better with every release they put out.

Oh cool. I only have Second Life Syndrome. Where would you rank SLS in comparison with the new CD?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here, but I think the new one is better since it's a later release. :P

Hehe yes :P I'm not tooo familiar with Second Life Syndrome, but I get the impression that ADHD is quite a bit heavier and more complicated. It's really good though, that's all you need to know ;)

AWESOME! I don't mind heavier :P I'm going to get in on that, SLS is a really cool CD, so I'm sure I'll like this one a lot!
Artificial Smile on SLS sounds down right like a Tool song  that's never a bad thing though.

I'm listening to that right now too, since you mentioned it. Cool song, it is :)

I'm going to disagree for a second. I'm not saying SLS is better than ADHD, but it's a matter of different moods. You can compare SLS to Rapid Eye Movement or Out Of Myself (both of which are phenomenal), but ADHD is a start of a new "series" for the band, and is representative of a completely new style while still keeping Riverside what it is.

So I will say ADHD is a different side of the river, not better or worse, just different, for different times.
