I LOVE those two albums, put more effort into them than almost all the others...but they missed the ideal point by losing my shit towards the end...

I was actually a bit surprised to find out that whole arp. part in Ki is all in position. It sounds all over the place. Brilliant Devin.....

I love this album. It's very understated, and I think the jazz drummer helps with that. The whole thing feels restrained but I think that can be a good thing sometimes - like the beast is growling but it's on a chain. Trainfire and Gato are among my favourites. Is it just me or is there a mobile ringtone in Trainfire? Maybe it's just me!

I feel you on the restraint, but mostly on the song KI, still my favorite anyway! It feels like it could have erupted into a full blown explosion, fucking beautiful, but it cuts to Quiet Riot. Gato was the least restrained song to me, then Winter.
