Old Man's Child - Slaves Of The World

Seeing this leak was quite a pleasant surprise for me! Especially for the fact that Peter Wildoer of Darkane did all the drums on it!

Also listening to CKY - Carver City

The Butterfly Effect - Worlds on Fire

Baww this band make me feel all sniffly. Gonna see em for the second time on the 13th, which is amazing considering the last time they were in this country was 2004 when I discovered them. Fucking looking forward to it... 8) More people should listen to them.

I've been listening to that, awesome album! As a Mike Patton album it's just above average. As a film soundtrack it's a very interesting, extremely experimental for a soundtrack... but as the soundtrack for Crank... perfect :D

Also been listening to:

John Moran - The Manson Family, An Opera
Clutch - From Beale Street to Oblivion
Mastodon - Crack The Skye (:D :D :D)
Coil - Time Machines

and...

Blut Aus Nord - Memoria Vetusta II: Dialogue With The Stars.... jesus fucking christ.

TBE are great, their early stuff is awesome. But there are heaps better bands of their similar genre in Australia. Check out: Cog, Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus to name just a few.

Klone - Empire of shame

Production-wise, it's something for Josiah, since drums are as un-clicky as possible :). Bass drum is huge, thumpy thing which requires getting used to when played fast in more metal moments. Nice band, it's bit Tool (vocals are strongly Maynardish sometimes) influenced, but it has plenty of its own character I think, it's quite heavy and uses some unusual instruments (tubular bells, harp, saxophone and some other things). Generally it's rather French.
