Which, according to a google image search of "funny picture", apparently can't go on without this (seeing as it was the top result)...

I can read the "fine print" :P
There is RARE amounts of good Rap. And why listen to it when we have musicians like Dev?

I don't want to turn this into a rant, but Rap is quite possibly one of the worst genres of music. I don't give it the title of "the worst" because that is, and always will be held by Emo/Screamo bands :chain:

Try Dalek... I went off rap for years and years a while back. Heard them one day and I remembered all the great things about rap, even straight up rap without the metal behind it. Sure there are plenty of uninspired drones merely peddling the same raps about their bitches and planes and money and all the rest, but there's plenty of rappers who actually put some substance into their raps, though you probably do have to delve back into the 90's and beyond to get the really good stuff, I suppose. Haven't heard a new rapper who I've liked in a while. Shame. When the rapper is good, rap is a powerhouse of a genre good enough to rival any. But when its bad, yeah, it can be really, really bad. I do think it nearly always mingles well with metal music, though.

I've never been able to tolerate screamy emo bands, so I shan't pass comment.

But still. Dig around the place. You'd be surprised what you might find that blurs the lines of genres and might ignite some spark of appreciation.

Yeh I suppose. That's what annoys me about it. It terribly hard to find talent, but I guess its worth it when you do find talent. Rap just doesn't fall for me though...lol/ I just can't get into it.
Better finish this lol its a "funny pics" discussion not a rap discussion.
But I HAVE to finish on a funny note.
There's a dude at my school who thinks that all Metal is screamo and that Rap is the only good type of music. He once said that "if Metal is better, then how come rappers are more rich? 50 is heaps richer than Metallica" - so...I did some research (just to prove a point, I knew what the outcome would be). It appears that 50 Cent is barely border lining on 50 million records sold. Metallica on the other hand, is souring past 100 million and is around about 120+......
Rappers appear to be "millionaires" because of what they wear in public...

Haven't heard from him about the subject since...

Music is not about the money anyway, and I still can't convince some of my friends that its not...oh well, at least SOME of us have brains that work :D
