I've been reading so many forums around the place on this topic and still nothing, i did read about a tour date or 2 being announced but it was under the name of FF with Gene as a member. i wish we could get some kind of clarity on the subject, im really stoked to hear what happens either way.
Dino was still part owner of the FF name and logo, even after he was no longer a part of the band :o

it definitely perked my interest. having seen Dino's skill improve since leaving FF and then to reform with one of the greatest drummers in the metal game, it'll surely be something amazing. FF got me into metal, so im pretty stoked to see where they go next, especially knowing that Rhys will be a part of the project too 8)

Just got a chance to listen to Archetype all the way through (I'd intended to buy it when it came out, but never bothered), surprisingly it's actually pretty good.

I'll keep an open mind about this, due to the Gene and Byron connection.

Id put Archetype as a top 3 album of theirs. Transgression as a whole was a let down for me, but i really enjoyed the last track "Empire". I too think "My Grave" kicks ass. All we need now is news about a new album! Happy to see that Burt and Dino have put the past events behind them.

Having listened to Archetype more over the last few days, I'd agree. It's definitely up there with their best for me, which is surprising, as bands generally don't come back after they ride the train into shitsville.

Transgression was OK. Not amazing, but still a hell of a lot better than Digimortal.

Digimortal had some really solid tracks, some of the bonus material was better than the album material though.

Transgression also has some very solid songs. Archetype has a few songs I believe Dino may have written previously. Because if you have any of their other cds (Hatefiles and such) you can find a demo version of Archetype. Dont quote me on this, but I think it was put out before Dino left FF.

No, Archetype was after Dino left. I'm pretty sure the song Archetype was actually DIRECTED at Dino. But I agree, I hear some Dino writing on the album.

Never mind. I looked at my albums and Mischief Invasion(that has an Archetype remix) was put out the same year as the Archetype album.

I have a collection of instrumentals that Christian had been working on in 2003, out of these demos, there were random riffs that were later incorporated into archetype.
the last FF song that hadnt been finished by the time Dino was removed, was terminate. they got burt to come back after the band had disbanded and he completed the vocals for the track, which was essentially bitching about the band and stuff.
