Wow, this is the most amazing news ive heard since the news of Ki :D i thought FF was pretty much done for real this time since Christian and Raymond are doing Arkaea, and Burton had Ascension of The Watchers. FF definately stumbled a bit when they booted Dino, they just werent quite the same. Of course i think Raymond Herrera is the best drummer in the world, but Gene is definately a worthy replacement :) i honestly dont think it would be released on Roadrunner, as FF absolutely hated their contract with them. i highly doubt theyd go and sign with them again

im not a fan of Christian's playing since he jumped on guitars for Fear Factory and Raymond just seems to look at it all as a buisness these days, i dont really get a feeling that he plays for the love of music anymore.
Fear factory got me into metal and SYL took the flag and ran with it. so to have a great lineup like that, just seems too good to be true!
I am glad that Dino and Burton are back to having a friendship again. i still remember back in 02 when they were flinging shit on each other in interviews.
this new project shall be godly :o

Archetype was an awesome album. Transgression, crap. Christian at a guitar workshop a while ago said it was really rushed. i still have faith in FF.

I liked Archetype and the first song off of Transgression. Hell. I thought that song was damn good. But the rest of the album was blah. As far as Dino and Burt getting back together, I hope it works out - there's probably money to be made at least.

i dont think there was anything wrong with archetype, musically. it just didnt appeal to me the same way as the other albums did, because it seemed to lose that kind of mechanical industrial sound which made them who they were. archetype and transgression kinda strayed away from some of the defining characteristics which made the band what they were. i was just a bigger fan of Dino's playing. although the newer FF song "my grave" was the best thing i had heard in a few years from them

Divine Heresy are on Century Media so they are always a possibility. Transgression was horrible to listen to and the guitars for the most part sound terrible. I rate it up there with Metallica's 'St Anger' and Van Halen's '3' as great bands making terrible albums. Although I agree with others that My Grave is pretty good. Getting back on topic here may I state the obvious that all this FF/SYL hybrid needs now is Dev to produce. Also great to see Burt and Dino are getting along again.

Tourdate in Amsterdam has been confirmed I believe. It's called Fear Factory, but it has Gene on drums.
