Talk about whatever you want to here, but stay correct

I dont think i ever introduced myself here...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I don't know what to say... so i guess i'll just do another typical boring intro:
Hi, im Aden.
I'm 17... 18 in a week
I play the guitar (have done since i was 9)
I will hopefully be off to Uni in september to study Music Production
I have long hair. I want it longer.
Im a weirdo.
Im crap at explaining or putting a point across.
My dream is to have a career in music, or even to just be releasing albums with at least a couple of fans/followers, and to play at gigs/festivals that i am growing up going to now.
I like animals.
I have 2 dogs:
Sky - White German Shephard
Amber - Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkshire Terria - haha...ha...)
2 Budgies
An Amelanistic Corn Snake :D called, either Tyra (if its a girl, pronounced Tie-Ra, if its a boy, Tirra)(its really hard to tell what sex they are, you have to take them to a vet and do some weird thing... but i can't be bothered right now)
We once had some guinnea pigs that bred, then bred s'more, and more and more, and we ended up with a total of 32 at one point... lol
I like all sorts of music, but my library is largely metal-based. See what i like here:
http://www.lastfm.com/user/warlord-aden
(Warlord-Aden, haha, oh deeeaaar... its from my Folk/Battle metal days, which is when i made the profile)
ermmm...
I (hope i) am a nice/kind person. I dont like to hurt anybody (mentally or physically) ... unless they truely deserve it, though i still probably wouldn't.
I'm quite shy, but it depends on my surroundings mostly. Sometimes i can be 'full of beans' - all hyper etc... other times i'll just sit quietly on the outside of a conversation. Its a bit annoying, i don't like being shy, i try to fight it, but i guess it'll always be there in some way/shape/form.
I like genuine people. I like people who appreciate the fact you care about them. I like people who make you feel welcome. I hate people that think they're above you.
I enjoy late nights. I enjoy ending a night with some cool food that i've created, and something cool to watch.
I like Strongbow, but im still unsure as to whether its considered a bit of a gay drink?
I like art. Especially digital art. If i wasn't able to do music, i'd be a digital artist. (website design, album/dvd covers etc.)
I like poker (Texas Hold'em) (my total poker career earnings so far, is a whopping £5 8) )
Things i like watching:
UFC
F1
WWE (Pay per views... just for the sake of it)
Prison Break
Family Guy
American Dad
South Park (haven't watched much yet but http://www.allsp.com will help)
Who's Line is it Anyway? (US version)
Scrubs
Friends
+ Lots of other random stuff.
+ Films. I can get into any film, even the gay chick flicks if they're good 8)
hmmm, thats about all i can think of. Its more than i expected i'd write.
So yeah, i hope i enjoy my stay here, and im sure i will!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

yay.

Long hair *salivate*

Animals are the best thing evar. Can't get enough of them! :D

You can't fight the shyness - don't know about you, but when I'm in a situation where I'm the more outgoing or 'dominant' personality, I'm really uncomfortable. Shyness must be in my genetic code. :lol:

Nice introduction.

My spelling's that bad? :sad:
lol

I want a lizard. When my snake goes into a new, bigger tank (very soon)... i might get one/some.
Or a scorpian. It'd be so cool, though i would be a bit iffy about holding it the first couple of times, but im sure i'd get used to it.
Or a tarantula, it'd be awesome.
I love tropical/rare/uncommon pets, they're really interesting, and its cool when people are interested when they come round.
Baby bearded dragons are so funny.

*checks for spelling*

Ah cool, thanks for the doormat :)

And that turantula, s'like something out of jumanji, lol

Cool though, but i'm sure i'd just stick with a typical household pet turantula, whatever breed that is...

Oh hai!

Eeeeeeeeeeeerm,

I'm Kelly, I'm 23 (only just, but still 23 damnit!) and from Derby UK. I are student at the uni here doing a degree in being a roadie. I shit you not! :lol:

I'm also one of those weird transgendered folk you see on telly but rarely see in real life. However I'm not a freak or a drag queen (thats for the gays :lol: ) I'm just a girl who happened to have been born with a birth defect of an outie instead of an innie :D That'll be fixed in due course :)

(I figured I'd out myself from the outset as it helps everyone to know at least one transgendered person in their lives to learn that we're normal. Well, as close to normal one can get in this very strange and stressful life. We're not freaks that you see on the tv or read about on the internet (or porn if you're into that...) but we're normal, you'll probably meet a few in your life and not realise it. We're amoungst you. :D )

I've been a lifelong fan of music, being brought up in a very musical family I can play the clarinet at a grade 7 level and drums at a grade 8 level. I kinda figured it'd suit me to go into the music support industry so I've taken up the task of learning stage management for bands/festivals and supplement that by being a kickass front of house and monitor engineer to boot! I've even threatened Charlie-from-Busted with a scaffolding bar because he was being a whiney little brat :D :lol:

Devin's work has literally saved my life on numerous occasions, Dev I owe you my life. When I've felt like ending it all because no one understands what its like to have a mismatch between brain sex and physical sex, plus all the stresses of everyday life, I've put something this man has done on and made myself listen through the album before doing anything. Last time it was a month ago, I was close to doing some serious damage to myself, I put on Alien LOUD and got my anger out through the chaos of that album. (Sorry to get soppy, but I felt the man might like to know that his music really does changes peoples lives!)

So yeah, I'm Kelly and hopefully here to stay! :D

Hey Kelly, welcome aboard. Here in San Francisco, transgender people are around everywhere and gender matters are not unusual. It's not a problem :) Devin rules, this board rules, hope you stick around.

How fucking awesome is that.

To write music that saves lives.

I hate saying it too, i hate to sound like an attention seeker or something, but there have been many times in my life where i get vivid images/thoughts of doing bad stuff... and Dev's music has also really helped me.

I'd love to be able to achieve something like that, its absolutely incredible.

PS - Its awesome that you've said about the transgender thing. I know i have many insecurities, and everytime i see somebody else similar/worse just confront it head on and say it, i really respect them for it, because its a very tough thing to do. :D

Welcome :)

Yes indeed I DO have balls ;) They don't work though :P

All joking aside, whilst I would love to live a "stealth" life and whatnot, I'm an advocate at heart, so to be seen as a sucessful trans-type person is a good thing to help combat the Jerry Springer type stereotypes. And hopefully let others in this situation think "wait, she did it and isn't a freak, maybe I can too!"

Plus, its hella fun dropping my male voice on people when they don't expect it! Especially when I do my Mikeal Akerfeldt style growling :D

I love the metal community. Nowhere else do I get people going "huh, thats cool", you're all awesome :D

Thanks for the welcomes and I hope to become an active member on here :)

I find its best to tackle problems like that head on, often disarms any dissenting arguments. "YOU'RE A TRANNY!" "yes I know, I've just told you this..."(actual real life scenario) Or my favourite reply "SHIT NO?! WHEN DID *THAT* HAPPEN!?" :lol:

I hope I didn't come off as a bit of an attention seeker with the whole "music saved my life" thing, I just wanted Teh Devz0r to know that he really does make a profound difference in people's lives </fangirl>

So yeah, thanks for the welcomes :)
