This is the total truth! :D

Awww I saw an aweeesome invader zim tshirt I wanted awhile ago, but alas, it only shipped to America.

Derek Acorah is the biggest windbag in exsistance. My mum is a "paranornal investigator" too. (I think she just enjoys running around in the dark scaring the crap outta people  ) and her crew have set that guy up so many times it's unbelievable. And fallen for it everytime too. It's pretty bad, but kinda funny.

I do believe in the paranormal though. Although, the amount of crap people make up about it kinda sucks. (example, Derek Acorah.)

I could never trust a guy with his face and haircut.

Amber wrote:I do believe in the paranormal though.

May I ask why?

I have never been able to grasp it. What is supposed to happen? I've never seen any tv show about the paranormal which doesn't look like it's bullshit, and every time they go anywhere they just pretend there's a noise and run away screaming. I've never heard of a paranormal incident where anyone is actually effected negatively - like, murdered or raped or something. Surely if bad people are coming back beyond the grave, they'd murder and rape people?

And what are they made out of anyway, and what do they stem from? They couldn't be gaseous because when somebody dies their body decomposes, and there have been numerous corpses on display around the world (inexplicably preserved holy people are often canonised and put in glass chambers) which haven't showed any signs of emitting any ghost or whatever. I just think paranormal makes no sense...

Go on, substantiate your beliefs! I'd love to understand what it's all about.

To be fair though, you don't really have to get very far to get exposure from it, all you really need to do is to be unusual in the audition stage.

Like so:

She rules she rules she rules. Though she does need a bit of a groom. But she rules. Rules.

Oh my fucking god! I almost started to cry when i watched that, awesome, awesome!

I found this to be utterly offensive. To be taught a 'don't judge a book by its cover' lesson from this show is insulting. Not to mention how disturbing it is to see the woman bask in the glow of the judges and audiences approval, when just minutes before she was the subject of eye rolls and sniggering.
I wished she'd have given their applause the finger at the end of her (amateur theater level) performance.

Course you can ask why. :D It's an interesting topic.

I can understand why a lot of people are skeptical of it. Espeically with the amount of 'reality' TV shows that depict it and such. Espeically when there is, like you put it, them just running around screaming.

It's a little err... Difficult to kind of explain, but I'll give it a shot anyway. (I'm always open to it being other things, than just a 'paranormal' happening. I try and use logic first. :D )

But, I've seen, and heard things quite a bit. (sound the nut case alarm :P ) And some 'ghosts' (Spirits, whatvever) really, really aren't that nice out there. The ones I've seen no so much. Apart from the one that stabbed me at Windsor castle.
It's weird to explain, but it's not like they pick up a knife and stab you with it or anything, but it's like you can feel the pain of it if it did happen, if that makes sense? And no, I wasn't imagining being stabbed or anything. I was just day dreaming out the window when I was struck with pain. Kinda sucked. :P
But I've had things singing down my hall way when no one else is around, things stomping, knocking things of shevles. Although there favourite thing to do usually is to hide things. :P

My mum, who used to do this a lot, has had all sorts of crap happen to her. Shes had things trying to take out her eyes, bite, scratch, (she has actually had a few scratches and bite marks manifest as well, which is a little odd.) and generally not be very nice. Quite a few have also given death threats. On the flip side though, she's met some that are incredibly shy too. One ghost they were comminicating too once, made someone jump and she screamed, and then wouldn't come back for the rest of the day.

I guess it's mostly, something you have to experience for yourself. Sounds kinda corny I know, but, honestly I think it is. No matter how much you try and explain it, you'll always be skeptical until you experience it. (I don't mean just you, I mean 'you' as in everyone who is skeptical, just to make sure. :D )

Whether it's to do with people who have 'abilities' or are 'more tuned in' I'm not entirely certain either.I'm not really all for beliving you have some sort of ability to be able to see, hear, smell whatever anything paranormal.

I've heard scienfitic theories before on how ghosts could potentally exist. The favourited one at the moment seems to be going towards "multiple dimensions." Which I would explain, but to be honest, I'm only just getting to grips with it myself!

For now, I just kinda chill out, and if something happens, it happens. Trying to keep up withit scientifically can be a nightmare.

I hope that sorta, semi explains as to why I might. If anyone does have theories on how these manifestations work, aside from it being 'paranormal' I would be rather interested. 8)

HA! I saw that on youtube the other day.... don't know I ended up on that video though. Hilarious.

TV shows that are fantastic:

In Treatment on HBO
Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern on Travel Channel
Taboo on NatGeo
Dog Whisperer on NatGeo (SHUT UP. It's awesome)
Flight of the Conchords on HBO

Many more. I'd have to think about it. But those rule.

As much as I dislike Psychic Kids, paranormal state, Ghostly encounters... a haunting... sometimes they are entertaining because you wonder why these people think the way they do. It's strange. :?

Hahah, I'm happy that Devin watches idol, now I have a good excuse for watching it myself! I just find it very entertaining.

I have never really thought of someone like Devin going to the show to slay the competition, but I HAVE thought how cool it would be if someone seriously talented sung some great songs that aren't hits of any kind, like something for Devin or whatever. I could seriously do it if I was even a little bit more than an average singer.

First and most important, Invader Zim is the best TV show that isn't House or Dexter. Particularily Dexter. Crazy people. House is the better character though, but Hugh Laurie is superior in Blackadder. This is my desktop background: http://i44.tinypic.com/2pt6hog.png

Now, my take on any sort of supernatural or religious belief. Now keep in mind that this was in a conversation with a friend and the reality isn't quite that harsh. I'm apt to like someone a bit less, but not automatically hate. Or, you know, throw them into a forest.

[15:59] Scott - Ki > Sex: You know what
[15:59] Scott - Ki > Sex: any belief described as paranormal or supernatural should be put down coldly and cruelly
[16:00] Scott - Ki > Sex: it, by definition, means either "physically impossible thing I think happened anyway" or "replacing 'unknown' with an unsupported arbitration instead of trying to find an evident answer"
[16:00] Scott - Ki > Sex: both are anti-scientific and anti-progressive
[16:01] Scott - Ki > Sex: anyone with any belief described as such should be dissallowed the use of technology

Also mind that the sort I mean doesn't necessarily encompass Amber's beliefs, but rather any sort of "yes, definitely" belief in God or an afterlife. Your incorrect use of the word "theory" still bugs me though!

I never claimed to have an English major. 8)
I know my usage of words, grammar, and most things language based sucks and amazing amount. I'm even worse with maths. :D
I can understand, but I can't apply. -shrug-

Science can't yet explain everything that happens with in our universe. Theres only theories on everything. So, in that case, I do not see why the paranormal cannot exist. And if science can explain how it can exist, what does it then become I wonder...

I'm open to everything. I do not have a full belief in God, Science, or the Paranormal for that matter. But,I certainly do not limit myself from any option either.

Until someone can prove that one, or all are right (or wrong) I remain open to everything.

I think to write something off because science can't prove it, or because it doesn't abide by the current laws of science, is rather narrow-minded.

Oooh, ooh, oooh, this is the bit where I get to sound like some kind of fucking loon! YES!

I've lived with ghosts for the past fourteen years of my life! On a regular basis I see, hear, feel, smell and talk to things that other people can't see. I'm not diagnosed with any mental issues, so I'm either nuts in a way that isn't known, or I see things that are only kind of there. Yay!

Okay, feel free to tear me apart now.
